From the very beginning of January 2026, Sanya City in Hainan Province, China, officially became the focus of continental media attention as it launched a series of important events leading up to the 6th Asian Beach Games.

Through online connections, the Chairman of the Asian Olympic Council's Media Committee affirmed that, with its experience in organizing previous Olympic Games and Asian Games, China will certainly provide top-notch broadcasting services. The combination of the drama of outdoor competitions and modern television technology will help spread the vibrant energy of beach sports to millions of global viewers in a complete and emotional way.

As preparations enter their final, intense phase, the Sanya city government has mobilized its entire political system and social resources to realize a spectacular Games. Vice Mayor Zhang Changfeng emphasized that seamless coordination between all levels is being intensified to complete the eight competition venues along the picturesque Sanya River. A green and sustainable philosophy is prioritized, with the organizing committee favoring the renovation of existing facilities over costly new construction. To support the 14 sports with 63 diverse events – from traditional sports like beach volleyball to emerging sports like teqball – a team of high-level technical experts and referees has been appointed to provide comprehensive supervision and guidance, ensuring absolute professionalism for all competitions.
