Manchester United are reportedly having difficulty completing the Tonali deal as Newcastle are determined to keep the Italian midfielder at all costs. In this context, the "Red Devils" are forced to shift their focus to Baleba. This is a more realistic option for rebuilding their midfield.
According to the British media, Tonali is an irreplaceable player in Newcastle's long-term plans. The St James' Park management not only rejected the idea of selling the 25-year-old star, but also did not want to bolster a direct competitor like Manchester United.
