Real Madrid's new recruit brings money to MU

MU benefited when Real Madrid announced the debut of left-back Alvaro Carreras on July 14.

Real Madrid have agreed a £43m deal to sign Carreras from Benfica on a six-year deal, marking a significant step forward in the 22-year-old's career.

According to BBC , MU will receive 20% of the transfer fee that Benfica received in this deal, about 8.6 million pounds. This is an important clause that the "Red Devils" inserted when letting Carreras join Benfica earlier.

Since the beginning of this summer, MU has earned an impressive amount of money from different contracts. First was 5 million pounds from Chelsea when the team did not buy Jadon Sancho outright. Then, the "Red Devils" pocketed 6 million pounds thanks to the transfer fee percentage clause when Anthony Elanga joined Newcastle.

In addition, MEN said MU also received £500,000 from Burnley when former midfielder Hannibal Mejbri helped the team gain promotion, and £3.4 million from Marseille to buy an additional percentage of ownership of Mason Greenwood.

These figures will help MU have more budget to bring in targets this summer. The "Red Devils" prioritized Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, but two recent offers were rejected. MU offered 55 million pounds plus 7.5 million pounds in additional fees, but Brentford demanded 70 million pounds.

The Telegraph said MU hopes to complete the Mbeumo deal before this summer's tour.
