The National Brand Council and the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to announce the enterprises achieving the Vietnam National Brand 2024 on the evening of November 4. Saigon Newport Corporation was honored to receive this award for the 8th consecutive time.

The Vietnam National Brand Program was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 253/2003/QD-TTg dated November 25, 2003. This is the only program of the Vietnamese Government to promote the national image and national brand through product brands (goods and services). The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the standing agency, responsible for coordinating with ministries/sectors to implement the program.
The selection of enterprises with products achieving National Brand status has been conducted every two years since 2008, aiming to encourage enterprises to continue sharing and pursuing the values of the Vietnam National Brand Program: Quality - Innovation, Creativity - Pioneering capacity to constantly innovate, create, improve product quality and develop enterprises.
In 2024, there will be 190 enterprises with products achieving the National Brand. This is the 8th consecutive time that Saigon Newport Corporation has achieved the National Brand and is the only national brand in the field of seaports and logistics services.

Saigon Newport Corporation is currently managing and operating a system of 26 ports in 16 provinces and cities nationwide, including 10 major seaports in Vietnam, with more than 90% of the import-export container market share in the southern region, more than 55% of the container throughput market share of the national port system; contributing 18-20% of the total budget revenue of Ho Chi Minh City and nearly 6% of the total annual national budget revenue. In 2024, the container throughput of the entire system of Saigon Newport Corporation is expected to reach 10.72 million TEUs (an increase of 9.1% compared to 2023).
Along with military, defense and production and business tasks, Tan Cang Saigon effectively carries out the movement of gratitude and community responsibility. Up to now, the Corporation has taken care of nearly 400 Vietnamese heroic mothers, relatives of martyrs, sponsored fishermen's children for life, supported funds for the poor in localities, funds for the homeland's sea and islands, for beloved Truong Sa, cared for families with preferential policies, people with meritorious services, people in difficult circumstances, built gratitude houses, comrade houses, great solidarity houses and joined hands to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses... In 2024, Tan Cang Saigon spent more than 90 billion VND on these activities.
