New Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung: Focus on implementing and completing at the highest level the socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025

On the afternoon of November 10, receiving the decision of the Politburo to transfer and appoint him to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and to introduce him to the City People's Council to elect him to the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung made a speech accepting the assignment.

The new Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Nguyen Duc Trung, said that this is a great honor and pride, as well as a heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the government and the people of the capital. In his new position, he vows to devote all his heart, intelligence and strength to strive to fulfill the assigned tasks, constantly train, maintain political courage, uphold the spirit of responsibility, be proactive, creative, innovative, and honest in public ethics, be dedicated, turn pressure into motivation, be close to the grassroots, be close to the people, listen and be receptive, and learn.

The new Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee expressed his respect and seriously accepted the direction and specific task assignments of Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc, and at the same time identified these as key orientations that need to be prioritized for immediate implementation in the coming time.

On this occasion, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province for their trust, support and facilitation during nearly six years of work.

Emphasizing Thang Long - Hanoi, the land of "geomancy and talent", where the quintessence and spirit of the nation converge, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the development requirements of the Capital in the new period are extremely great. Hanoi not only preserves its culture and identity, but also has to promote its mission of leading and spreading development, becoming a center of innovation, a modern urban area, a growth locomotive of the whole region and the whole country.

Citing the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, the new Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee affirmed that the strategic orientations of General Secretary To Lam are the compass for the actions of the entire Party Committee: Hanoi must create a new governance model, with the capacity to coordinate and solve urgent problems, while at the same time, opening up a vision for sustainable development; must put culture, identity, and creativity at the center of all development orientations, considering them as endogenous resources, the foundation for forming the mettle, intelligence, and strength of the Capital.

In his new position, the new Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee affirmed that he will devote himself wholeheartedly, make every effort to contribute, and put the interests of the Party, the people, and the Capital above all else. At the same time, he pledged to work with the City Party Committee leadership, headed by Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc, to always maintain solidarity and unity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, and act decisively and effectively.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that he will work with the City Party Committee to seriously and effectively implement the Party's policies, guidelines and resolutions, especially the key resolutions under the direction of the City Party Committee Secretary. Along with that is the implementation of 5 development viewpoints, 43 main targets, 3 breakthroughs and 10 key task groups, 7 tasks under the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the 18th City Party Congress.

In that spirit, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that he will continue to concretize and effectively implement Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Hanoi Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045, along with the implementation of the Capital Law. In the immediate future, focus on implementing and completing at the highest level the socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025 under the direction of the Party Committee Secretary and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee.

The new Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee expressed his wish to continue receiving the attention, leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, the Central agencies and the coordination and support of the localities. At the same time, he also hoped that the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and sectors of the city, and all cadres, party members and people of the Capital would accompany and support him in the process of performing his tasks.
