Along the road leading to the Nua Temple - Am Tien historical site (Tan Ninh commune, Thanh Hoa province), there are two rows of tall, lush, ancient mahogany trees.

Local residents say that the 22 ancient mahogany trees were planted in 1923. In 2023, these two rows of mahogany trees were recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees by the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection.

After being recognized as heritage trees, the rows of mahogany trees were numbered from 1 to 22 for convenient management and conservation. After more than 100 years, the two rows of trees remain lush and green, providing ample shade.

The base and trunk of the tree are covered with many bumps, the bark is rough, and some branches are covered with moss, giving it an ancient appearance.

Most of the trees have thick, rough trunks that branch out into many parts, with an average height of 30–40 m.

Visitors to the Nua Temple - Am Tien historical site are delighted and impressed by the century-old heritage trees. The largest mahogany trees, measured at the base, have trunks so large that it would take several adults to encircle them.

"It's rare to find a rural area that still preserves such precious ancient trees," said Mr. Thang (a resident of Nghe An province). The two rows of lush green trees create a unique characteristic of the Thanh Hoa countryside.

Nua Mountain, also known as Nua Mountain or Na Son, is part of the Am Tien National Historical Site (Nua town, formerly Trieu Son district). This complex of historical sites includes "Nua Mountain - Nua Temple - Am Tien" located in Tan Ninh, Mau Lam, and Trung Chinh communes ( Thanh Hoa province), with a mountainous terrain and majestic natural landscape.

According to historical records, Vietnam has three sacred energy points: Da Chong Mountain ( Hanoi ), Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), and Nua Mountain. The highest energy point is located at the summit of Nua Mountain.
