- On the morning of April 17, a working delegation from the Department of Education and Training and Hoang Van Thu High School ( Lang Son city) organized a book donation ceremony for the school library and disadvantaged students of Yen Binh Secondary School and Yen Binh Primary School, Huu Lung district.
Implementing the direction of the Department of Education and Training on donating books to support school libraries and disadvantaged students in the area, recently, many schools have organized campaigns and donated thousands of good books. In particular, Hoang Van Thu High School is the leading unit in implementing the movement, recently the school has donated 1,098 books with a total of 525 titles.
During the program, the delegation presented 700 books donated by Hoang Van Thu High School to school libraries and disadvantaged students in Yen Binh commune (400 books were given to Yen Binh Secondary School and 300 books were given to Yen Binh Primary School). These are reference books for reviewing knowledge of subjects, science books, life skills education books, and comic books and stories.
During the program, the delegation also gave notebooks to disadvantaged students of two schools, each school received 150 notebooks.
This is a meaningful and practical activity to add more books to libraries, helping disadvantaged students have more resources for reference and study. At the same time, it also contributes to spreading and encouraging the reading culture in schools in the area.
