According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the dry season and the Lunar New Year holiday are times when electricity demand increases, while hot and dry weather conditions increase the risk of fires and electrical accidents. Even a small oversight in daily life or production can lead to serious consequences, affecting the safety of people's lives and property, as well as social security and order.
To ensure a safe and stable electricity supply, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities and EVN to seriously implement solutions to strengthen electricity safety management, especially inspecting electricity usage in accordance with the Electricity Law and related decrees and circulars.

Local authorities are required to strengthen inspections and checks on electrical safety; and at the same time, promote the dissemination of legal regulations to the people, especially regarding recreational activities that pose potential risks to electrical safety such as flying kites, releasing sky lanterns, and flying objects near power line corridors.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade also emphasized the importance of incorporating electrical safety education into school curricula to raise students' awareness and help prevent violations of the power grid safety corridor.
Another important aspect is the need to strengthen coordination between the power grid operation and management unit and the local authorities where power infrastructure is located. This coordination aims to implement comprehensive measures to protect the safety of power grid corridors, including overhead lines, underground cables, substations, and power generation facilities.
Simultaneously, raising awareness of electrical safety laws through propaganda and education continues to be identified as a fundamental solution to minimize the risk of violations of power grid safety corridors and electrical accidents in the community.
For Vietnam Electricity Corporation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires it to direct electricity corporations and local electricity companies to closely coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to develop plans to ensure the safe operation of the power system.
In this regard, EVN must strengthen its operational readiness, ensuring timely response to incidents, and paying particular attention to assigning operational personnel to unmanned substations during critical periods.

In addition, the electricity sector needs to continue to promote training and professional development for operating staff and workers to improve their capacity to manage and operate the power grid safely, strictly adhering to legal regulations and technical standards of the electricity industry.
Regular inspections and monitoring of electrical infrastructure safety, preparation of spare parts, and repair and replacement of equipment are also required to improve the reliability of electricity supply and ensure electricity for production, business, and daily life, especially during Tet (Lunar New Year) and the peak of the dry season.
Coordinate closely with departments, agencies, and localities to effectively carry out propaganda and education work to raise awareness among people and businesses and ensure compliance with regulations on electrical safety and safe electricity usage.
Proactively research and develop educational content on electrical safety laws for students as a basis for proposing to the Ministry of Education and Training to integrate it into school curricula so that students understand and comply well with electrical safety laws.
