(CT) - In order to enhance the effectiveness of pollution prevention and control, Can Tho City directs and urges specialized agencies and localities to arrange and organize forces to promptly receive and handle feedback information, proactively prevent and mobilize resources to effectively control pollution for waste sources and pollution sources with high risk of causing environmental pollution.

Can Tho City plants many trees, creating cool green space, protecting the living environment.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to closely monitor and supervise projects and facilities that pose a risk of environmental pollution through automatic and continuous wastewater and emission monitoring systems. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is monitoring 18 facilities with large sources of emissions that have been connected and transmitted automatic and continuous monitoring data. Of which, Can Tho City (old) has 5 facilities, Hau Giang Province (old) has 9 facilities, Soc Trang Province (old) has 4 facilities. In addition, monitoring environmental quality changes through periodic environmental status monitoring programs, automatic monitoring, environmental warning monitoring in aquaculture, and periodically publicizing environmental quality indexes on the electronic information portal of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

The city continues to increase investment in monitoring and controlling environmental quality to manage, evaluate, warn and forecast environmental pollution developments and trends in the short and long term to propose management solutions according to regulations. Promote the application of technology and digital transformation in environmental pollution control.
