Strengthening educational cooperation, promoting Vietnam - Russia friendship

On December 2 in Hanoi, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son received a delegation from Saint Petersburg State University (Russia) on the occasion of the delegation's visit to Vietnam.

At the reception, President Phan Anh Son affirmed that the friendship between Vietnam and Russia is a very special relationship, which is an invaluable asset for the people of the two countries. The economic , trade and investment cooperation between the two countries is very potential, and educational cooperation between Vietnam and Russia is especially important in the current context. The history of the great Russia, the Russian people is the cradle where many generations of Vietnamese leaders, scientists and intellectuals have studied here.

The President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations emphasized that the foundation and driving force for the Vietnam - Russia relationship is educational cooperation, in which Saint Petersburg State University plays a very important role. The school is where President Ho Chi Minh came to the great October Revolution in Russia, which is very special.

Dr. Sergey Andryushin, Vice Rector for External Relations of Saint Petersburg State University expressed solidarity with the Vietnamese people. He said that up to now, the University has signed many memorandums of understanding with Hanoi National University and hopes to expand cooperation with many other universities in Vietnam in the future in fields such as artificial intelligence, information technology, etc.

The two sides agreed that in the coming time, exchange and mutual understanding activities to expand cooperation in education should have the participation of representatives of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and many universities in Vietnam. These will be practical activities to enhance understanding, promote solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries.
