"Unleashing Potential - Shaping the Future" was the theme of the investment cooperation networking conference for businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province, held in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of November 18th.
Ho Chi Minh City needs to expand its regional connectivity.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung informed that Ho Chi Minh City is a special urban area, an economic center , and one of the important growth poles of the country.
However, to achieve double-digit growth, the city needs to expand its regional connectivity and form supply chains (from raw materials, production, logistics, services, and tourism). Therefore, Ca Mau is a locality that simultaneously meets the requirements in terms of resources, development potential, and strategic location for the marine economy .
Mr. Dung assessed that the cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau over the years has achieved positive results in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, healthcare , human resource training, and OCOP product development. These achievements have created a foundation for the development of socio-economic linkages between the two localities.
He then suggested that both sides continue to proactively provide information, clarify mechanisms, and promptly receive and process proposals from investors.
