According to the report, the recent floods caused heavy damage to the two communes of Dien Dien and Dien Khanh; the amount of waste generated after the floods was huge. With the efforts of the forces, up to now, the two communes have collected more than 9,000 tons of waste. However, the amount of waste remaining is still large, mainly in small alleys and residential areas; vehicles such as excavators and large trucks have difficulty entering to collect. Therefore, the two communes proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allocate funds to rent dump trucks and small excavators that can enter small alleys in residential areas to quickly handle the remaining waste.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Huyen shared the difficulties and damages and acknowledged the efforts of the local authorities and people to overcome the consequences of the historic flood. He emphasized that to collect and transport garbage effectively, it is necessary to have professional forces and appropriate means. Therefore, the province will direct environmental units in the province to mobilize human resources and means to support the two communes; assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to be the focal point to regulate the allocation.
Comrade Le Huyen requested local authorities to maintain the existing garbage collection force and vehicles and mobilize and hire additional excavators and small dump trucks to collect garbage in small alleys in residential areas; assigned the Department of Finance to guide localities in paying for vehicle rental fees. He also requested local authorities to widely propagate for people to proactively bring garbage to collection points for the convenience of transport units. The Department of Health should strengthen inspection of garbage backlog areas to support and guide environmental treatment, preventing disease outbreaks.
