Giving more than 10,300 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances

On the morning of December 9, in Phu Hoa 2 commune, Vietnam Social Security (VSS) organized a program to give health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Dak Lak province.

Attending the program were Mr. Tran Dinh Lieu, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Social Security and representatives of sponsors.

At the program, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security Tran Dinh Lieu presented the symbol of 10,337 health insurance cards to representatives of Dak Lak provincial Party Committee and government with a total amount of nearly 2 billion VND.

The entire cost of purchasing health insurance cards is supported by Vietcombank, Agribank , Vietinbank and BIDV.

In addition, Vietnam Social Security also presented a symbolic plaque of 100 health insurance cards to representatives of the Party Committee and government of Phu Hoa 2 commune and 50 million VND to representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Hoa 2 commune to help the locality overcome part of the damage after the recent historic flood.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Dinh Lieu, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security, shared the losses that the local Party Committee, government and people of Dak Lak province had to suffer after the recent floods.

Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security Tran Dinh Lieu hopes that each health insurance card given will not only be a material support to help people overcome difficulties after natural disasters, but also a spiritual encouragement, helping people reduce the burden of medical examination and treatment costs when they are unfortunately sick or ill.

The program of giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances is an annual activity of Vietnam Social Security, aiming to mobilize the participation of officials and employees in the entire Vietnam Social Security system and the social community in the voluntary work of giving social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.
