At many cooperatives and agricultural product processing and packaging workshops, workers are working continuously to meet orders for the Tet holiday market. Tran Thi Thuy, director of the Huong Thuy Lotus Tea Cooperative in Tay Ho ward ( Hanoi ), said that since the beginning of the twelfth lunar month, orders from agricultural product distributors and stores have increased by 20 to 30%. To meet the demand for Tet, the cooperative had planned to stockpile goods 3-4 months in advance, preparing 500-700 gift packages to serve businesses and organizations that need to order gifts.
Many cooperatives in Son La province are also boosting production and increasing output to meet the needs of the people. Besides applying techniques to increase productivity, many cooperatives also focus on farming according to VietGAP and organic standards; controlling inputs, keeping production logs, and tracing product origins to ensure food safety and hygiene. This is considered the "key" to helping cooperative products maintain consumer trust.
At the Binh Thuan Production, Business, and General Service Cooperative in Binh Thuan commune, the atmosphere is quite bustling these days as workers strive to meet delivery deadlines for their partners. Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Binh shared that the cooperative had planned to produce tea for the Lunar New Year since the third quarter. The unit focuses on improving product quality, emphasizing drying, packaging, and improving product design to suit the occasion. The volume of processed tea for this year's Lunar New Year is expected to increase by approximately 25% compared to the same period last year.
Not only cooperatives, but also local people in the tea-growing areas are actively participating. Mr. Lo Van Huoi from Lom Bua village, Binh Thuan commune, said that this year, the villagers are caring for and harvesting tea according to the techniques they have been trained in, providing quality raw materials to cooperatives in the region. They deliver the harvested tea immediately for processing. Thanks to the cooperatives' stable product consumption, the villagers are very confident in their production.
In Quang Ninh province, many businesses and cooperatives have also been developing plans to prepare their inventory, ensuring they can meet the increased consumer demand during the year-end holiday season. According to Le Thi Them, Director of Huy Hoang Cooperative, the cooperative currently has 9 products that meet OCOP standards from 3 to 4 stars. During the peak Tet holiday season, the consumption of these products increases significantly, especially golden flower tea, wine, jam, and mulberry syrup. The cooperative has carefully prepared raw materials and human resources, invested in improving designs and packaging, and participated in the OCOP-Spring 2026 Fair in the province to meet market demand.
Strict quality control of agricultural products
According to Ms. Ca Thi Ngoc, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan commune, Son La province, the commune has coordinated with cooperatives to both support production and effectively control product quality. The commune government regularly monitors production, facilitates procedures, connects businesses with consumers, and promotes compliance with food safety regulations. Simultaneously, it collaborates with relevant agencies to inspect the use of raw materials, processing procedures, and product labeling to ensure the quality of products brought to market.
"We also encourage cooperatives to closely link with people in the raw material areas, producing in a safe and sustainable manner. This is the foundation for the stable development of the cooperative economy in the commune, not only during Tet but also in the long term," Ms. Ngoc emphasized.

According to Nguyen Minh Son, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh province, to meet consumer demand during Tet (Lunar New Year), the province's agricultural sector has proactively developed a plan, focusing on key agricultural products, OCOP products, and essential food items. The department has directed localities, cooperatives, and agricultural enterprises to proactively secure raw materials for production, ensuring both quantity and quality. The sector has also strengthened guidance on safe production processes, traceability, and quality control of agricultural products before they are released to the market.
Besides production, the province focuses on connecting consumption, supporting cooperatives and businesses to participate in spring fairs, OCOP sales points, and distribution systems inside and outside the province. In particular, the OCOP fair "Quang Ninh - Spring 2026" has opened up opportunities to bring agricultural products to consumers, helping to stabilize the market and increase the value of local agricultural products.
