Perspective of the project at the intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue.
This is a 3-level traffic intersection, including a direct tunnel system combined with a turbine branch bridge.
After 8 months of construction, the project has completed 40% of the progress and is entering the tunneling phase.
Contractors are constructing closed tunnel structures, open tunnels, turbine branch bridges, reinforced concrete retaining walls, along with road embankment, drainage, lighting and temporary traffic items.
Many bridge piers have been erected on both sides of Thang Long Avenue.
The underpass is arranged in the direction of Ring Road 3.5 (Hoang Tung Street) - National Highway 32.
Scale 4 lanes, 975 meters long, of which the underground section under Thang Long Avenue is 150 meters long; on Hoang Tung side there is a 157.5 meter open tunnel, 220 meter retaining wall; on National Highway 32 side there is a 157.5 meter open tunnel, 200 meter retaining wall.
A series of heavy machinery and construction materials were gathered, ensuring the set progress, aiming to complete the plan by 2025 and earlier than the contract deadline.
The project is invested by the Hanoi Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total investment of VND 2,384 billion, to be implemented from 2022 to 2026.
Mr. Dinh Manh Toan, project commander, said the project is expected to be completed after 1,000 days of construction.
The intersection is expected to reduce traffic congestion, promote the formation of satellite urban areas in the West of Hanoi, and contribute to completing the infrastructure according to the capital's planning.
