Movement from large projects
According to Decision No. 860/QD-UBND issued in March 2026, the People's Committee of the city announced a list of 219 investment attraction projects for the period 2026 - 2030, spanning many key sectors such as transportation, logistics, urban development, high technology, education , healthcare, environment, and tourism.
Notably, in the field of infrastructure and urban development, the city has proposed large-scale projects such as the International Financial Center at multiple locations in Hai Chau district, the Bach Dang - Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - Tran Hung Dao pedestrian street, and the Botanical Garden. These projects are expected to create architectural landmarks, develop urban spaces, and boost tourism and commercial services.
According to statistics, in 2026, Da Nang will have more than 404 projects requiring land clearance, involving nearly 50,000 sets of documents. The Management Board of Investment Projects for Transportation and Agriculture Construction stated that in 2026, it will be assigned to implement over 3,000 billion VND of public investment capital for 76 projects and tasks. From 2026 to 2030, the unit plans to submit investment approvals for 108 projects with a total investment of over 56,000 billion VND.
One of the most notable events in the first five months of 2026 was the city's launch of the Lien Chieu Container Port Master Plan. This project, with a total investment of over $2 billion and covering approximately 172.6 hectares, is envisioned to become a modern container port and an international transshipment hub for the region.
Mr. Le Thanh Hung, Director of the City's Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board, stated that the implementation of Lien Chieu Port has special strategic significance for the national logistics system. The project will not only help alleviate congestion at Tien Sa Port but also create a strong impetus for the development of the city's logistics, industrial, and commercial service chains for many years to come.
At the same time, in the southern part of the city, many large-scale industrial park projects also simultaneously commenced construction and accelerated their implementation, notably the Nam Thang Binh and Tam Anh - An An Hoa Industrial Parks. Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang, Head of the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone Management Board, commented that the simultaneous commencement of key projects in southern Da Nang is a positive sign, demonstrating investors' confidence in the local business environment.
Previously, Da Nang International Airport also commenced construction on a new cargo terminal project with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year and a total investment of 631 billion VND.

Not content with just completing existing projects, Da Nang is continuing to accelerate preparations for the commencement of many new projects in strategic sectors.
The Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects announced that in 2026, the unit plans to commence construction on 31 projects with a total investment of VND 32,995 billion, including: upgrading and renovating National Highway 14D; integrated development and adaptation in Quang Nam province; completing Hung Vuong road (formerly Tam Ky city); Duy Phuoc bridge; resettlement areas serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; Hoa Xuan bridge; Nghia Tu bridge; Phong Thu bridge on the DT609 route and a drainage culvert connecting downstream of the existing culvert on Tran Nam Trung road.
The City People's Committee Office announced that, in the coming period, city leaders will require units to develop specific plans for the implementation and disbursement of public investment for each project. Simultaneously, Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee will be assigned to oversee specific project areas. This aims to ensure implementation according to the "six clear principles": clear person, clear task, clear time, clear responsibility, clear output, and clear authority. Alongside this, land clearance, compensation, support, and resettlement will be accelerated to speed up the progress of projects in the city.
In particular, the city will expedite the implementation procedures for major public investment projects and projects planned for investment in 2026, including: upgrading and renovating National Highway 14D; the extended Western Ring Road 2; the Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long intersection cluster and the access road to Hoa Xuan Bridge; upgrading and renovating National Highway 14B and National Highway 14G...
The city is also urgently selecting investors to implement the Cua Lo waterway construction project and to invest in its synchronous development with the Tam Hiep - Tam Hoa port area. It is accelerating the land clearance process for infrastructure development projects in the THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park (451ha), the Chu Lai Automotive and Mechanical Industrial Park (243ha), and the An Hoa Industrial Park, aiming to promote industrial development in the southern part of the city...
The city is also promoting and selecting investors for major projects such as: an international fireworks project; planting and processing ginseng and medicinal herbs; investing in and developing Chu Lai Airport and its economic, urban, and airport ecosystem...
At a recent meeting with the City's Project Management Board for the construction of transportation and agricultural projects, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that the progress of projects scheduled to start in 2026 be accelerated, setting specific deadlines. Specifically, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14D should commence before June 30, 2026; the project for the Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long intersection cluster and the access road to Hoa Xuan Bridge should be shortened, with investment plan approval procedures completed before August 30 (instead of September 30); and the detailed 1/500 scale planning for resettlement areas serving land clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project should be completed before June 30, 2026.
