According to the resolution, Gia Lai province will continue to implement Resolution No. 06/2022/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2022 of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province (before reorganization) on policies to encourage free-range chicken farming in the 2022-2026 period, along with Resolution No. 32/2024/NQ-HDND dated December 12, 2024 amending and supplementing Clause 3, Article 1 of Resolution No. 06/2022/NQ-HDND.

This policy aims to encourage the development of free-range chicken farming for commercial purposes in midland and mountainous districts, including the communes of Vinh Thanh, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Quang, Vinh Son; Van Canh, Canh Lien, Canh Vinh; Tay Son, Binh An, Binh Khe, Binh Phu, Binh Hiep; An Lao, An Hoa, An Toan, An Vinh; Hoai An, An Hao, An Tuong, Kim Son and Van Duc.

Over the implementation period in Binh Dinh province (before the reorganization), the policy has proven to be clearly effective. By the end of 2024, the program had supported 36 households raising livestock in Hoai An, Tay Son, and Vinh Thanh districts with a total herd of 110,400 chickens, with a total support budget of 656.4 million VND. From the beginning of 2025, when Resolution No. 32/2024/NQ-HDND took effect, the support level was increased, creating a strong motivation for many households to register to participate. Up to this point, 11 households raising livestock in Hoai An district (formerly) have completed the breeding cycle with a scale of 31,900 chickens.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Diep, Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province), said: "The Provincial People's Council's approval of the resolution to continue applying the policy of encouraging free-range chicken farming is very timely. This is an important next step to create conditions for people in midland and mountainous communes to expand their livestock farming scale, develop their family economy, and at the same time contribute to the formation of a typical commodity livestock farming area of the province. The livestock and veterinary sector will closely coordinate with localities to provide technical guidance, monitor diseases, and ensure efficiency and safety during the implementation process."

According to the resolution, the policy will be applied in Gia Lai province from July 1, 2025. The implementation is expected to contribute to increasing income for people in the midlands and mountainous areas, promoting sustainable agricultural economic development, linking production with processing and product consumption.
