Implementing the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” (abbreviated as the campaign), the Campaign Steering Committee has focused on implementing many solutions, propaganda and advocacy activities, thereby helping people raise awareness of prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods in shopping and consumption. At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness and changing the behavior of manufacturers, businesses and consumers to bring Vietnamese goods closer and closer to consumers in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the province, Le Hong Son, said: "In 2023, the campaign will be promoted and widely deployed among the people, focusing on propaganda, mobilization and promotion of Vietnamese goods.
At the same time, the Steering Committee of the campaign has coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to deploy both the breadth and depth of the campaign to widely promote Vietnamese products and to carry out regular inspection and supervision of goods, prices, origins, and to combat trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods that do not ensure food hygiene and safety.
Along with that, businesses have been aware of their role and responsibility towards consumers, recognizing the potential of the domestic market, so they have boldly invested, modernized production lines, created many new products with high quality, diverse designs, competitive prices with imported goods, actively built brands, promoted the promotion of Vietnamese products, traditional craft villages in the province, introduced and distributed products.
Accordingly, the Provincial Steering Committee of the campaign has directed provincial member units to focus on implementing and organizing many diverse activities, building many effective and practical models. On the occasion of the anniversary of the great holidays of the homeland and the country, relevant departments, branches and localities have coordinated to organize activities to display and promote typical products and OCOP products of the province.
Thereby promoting and honoring the diversity and uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine and specialties in general and of the province in particular. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has actively and proactively coordinated with departments, branches and localities to invite and attract businesses and cooperatives to participate in building 15 chains linking production with consumption of agricultural products in the direction of standardizing the production of safe and organic raw material areas in 2023.
Directing the effective implementation of the OCOP program. In 2023, 82 product ideas were registered for OCOP product certification. The industry also actively coordinated with relevant units to organize many trade promotion activities for OCOP products. Thanks to that, up to now, over 95% of OCOP products have participated in e-commerce platforms.
Along with that, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism successfully coordinated to organize the exhibition and promotion of typical products and OCOP products of the province in 2023. During the 3 days of the event, it attracted more than 5,000 visitors to visit and shop.
The Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center successfully organized a market for typical products and provincial OCOP products in Huong Hoa district, attracting more than 3,000 visitors to visit and shop.
There have been 5 memorandums of understanding on cooperation as distributors and agents signed between enterprises... To carry out the campaign, the Provincial Women's Union has directed and implemented the "Women's Startup 2023" contest. In addition, the unions at all levels also organized many seminars on "Product introduction, market connection", organized "Product display" festivals at district and commune levels with 228 booths with more than 430 items which are typical, safe, quality products, attracting thousands of visitors to visit and shop.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - Steering Committee of the campaign at all levels has focused on directing and guiding the grassroots fronts to implement the campaign through practical activities. Typically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ha City and socio-political organizations have coordinated to organize the "Zero-VND Tet Market"; connecting to introduce OCOP-standard products sold at stores of the postal system. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Lang district coordinated with the district Farmers' Association to protect and develop the brands "Hai Lang Lotus" and "Hai Lang Chili"...
In addition, member organizations of the Front and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have promoted inter-sectoral coordination to inspect the quality of goods, prices, and food safety and hygiene at markets and business agents.
The results of the campaign's activities have contributed to creating a connection between production and consumption, gradually opening up the "flow" of Vietnamese goods to the countryside. At the same time, it has also created a rapid spread to many localities in the province, serving the production, business and daily life needs of rural people.
Sharing about the orientations for implementing the campaign in the coming time, Mr. Le Hong Son added: "To effectively implement the campaign, in 2024, we will continue to thoroughly grasp and implement Directive No. 03-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat; Directive 07-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods in the new situation".
At the same time, continue to strengthen propaganda about the campaign, helping consumers have a correct understanding of the quality of Vietnamese goods and services. Strengthen trade promotion activities in the province. Organize and mobilize businesses to participate in fairs with the theme "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
Encourage businesses and distributors to prioritize selling Vietnamese-made goods, bringing Vietnamese goods to mountainous, remote and isolated markets through the retail systems of consumer goods distribution businesses in the province.
Continue to effectively organize the implementation of the activity "Building points to introduce and sell OCOP products and support and connect the province's agricultural and handicraft products to supermarkets and retail chains".
Along with that, relevant sectors and units need to strengthen market inspection and control, strictly control promotional activities to protect domestically produced goods, creating healthy competition for Vietnamese goods in the market."
