Sharing about this achievement, Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra, Country Director of SCG Group in Vietnam said: “CSI is not only an award but also a driving force to promote businesses to innovate, improve governance and spread the spirit of sustainable development. On the occasion of the program reaching its 10-year milestone, SCG is honored to continue to be honored, and considers this as an encouragement for responsibility to lead by action. SCG's ESG 4 Plus strategy always goes hand in hand with Vietnam's sustainable development goals. 2025 also marks the 9th consecutive year that SCG member companies are on this list. From this milestone, SCG will continue to innovate and strongly implement sustainable projects that contribute to the environment, society and economy .”

Environment (E): Practical actions to contribute to promoting green growth goals of the construction materials industry.
SCG member companies are highly appreciated for their efforts in implementing a consistent ESG strategy, combining technological innovation, energy optimization and promoting a circular economy model in production. Specifically, Vina Kraft continuously promotes Net Zero initiatives by using modern technologies, increasing the use of renewable energy such as biomass, biogas and solar energy, thereby integrating sustainable activities throughout the value chain.
Similarly, factories under Prime Group have partially replaced coal fuel with biomass in the drying process, and invested in a system to recover and reuse waste heat from the kiln. Specifically, Prime Pho Yen is also testing a biomass gasification system - an important step towards completely eliminating coal in the future, helping to save energy and reduce emissions. Prime Ngoi Viet also made its mark by upgrading the HAG system (fluidized bed furnace) to operate entirely on 100% environmentally friendly biomass fuel, which helped the company reduce emissions by 15% compared to 2020.

Along with improvements in production, companies also promote innovation and develop sustainable products, both meeting market demand and promoting responsible consumption. Specifically, Prime Group develops sustainable tile lines such as ThinEco, which saves 23% of raw materials and reduces 14-24% of energy consumption in production, or Flexitech surface technology with safe material design, supporting the improvement of public health and sustainable lifestyles.
Similarly, Prime Ngoi Viet constantly improves product quality by optimizing glaze formulas to increase gloss and color durability, thereby providing tile lines with high aesthetics and outstanding longevity. At the same time, the amount of defective finished tiles is crushed and reused, accounting for about 10% of input materials, recovering and reusing 100% of fallen powder, 100% of broken tiles before/after firing, and 100% of coal slag - a practical solution to improve resource efficiency.
Vina Kraft develops 100% sustainable packaging that can be recycled, reused or composted, and cooperates with organizations at all levels to promote waste collection, recycling and reduction, contributing to the construction of a circular economy model and the development of the recycling industry. Vina Kraft is one of the first recycling units to implement the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) project. In addition, the company participates in the FSC and PEFC Forest Certification Programs to promote sustainable forest management. The FSC/PEFC label on products is proof that the enterprise is responsible for the environment and exploits raw materials from properly managed forests or from recycled materials.
Society (S): People-centered, focusing on labor safety and community development
In terms of human and social aspects, SCG and its member companies always consider human resources as the foundation for development, continuously building a safe working environment, diverse benefits and sustainable career development opportunities. Vina Kraft strictly applies the “SCG Safety Framework” with the goal of building an organization with “Zero injuries and illnesses”, achieving the Silver Award for safety of the group “For dedication and cooperation towards safety goals”, ensuring that all activities put the safety and health of employees first. Prime Tien Phong, a unit of Prime Group, was also awarded the “Enterprise for Employees” award in 2025, recognizing its continuous efforts in improving the lives and welfare of employees.

In addition, SCG and its member companies also actively contribute to the community through many meaningful programs such as the garbage classification instruction activity at Vina Kraft's Hoa Loi Primary School, contributing to educating the younger generation about environmental protection awareness; or Prime Group's "Dreams Come True" program, providing essential resources and skills training for people in difficult circumstances, supporting the community to build stable and sustainable livelihoods.
Transparent Governance (G): Sustainable and transparent governance is the foundation for inclusive Green Growth
Transparent governance - the "G" factor in the ESG criteria set, which CSI has paid special attention to this year, has been maintained by the group's businesses in all production, business, creativity and innovation activities. Typically, Vina Kraft Paper has implemented comprehensive sustainable development management, leading in the process of developing the carbon footprint of products (CFP). The Carbon Footprint label attached to the product shows the amount of CO₂ emissions that have been scientifically calculated and verified, integrating IoT technology to manage production in real time, optimize operations and minimize operational risks, helping businesses to be transparent about environmental information and affirm their commitment to sustainable development. This also supports customers and partners to reduce emissions throughout the entire value chain, creating a solid foundation for carbon offset activities or participating in the carbon credit market - a trend that is increasingly attracting the attention of the business community in Vietnam and around the world.

This award once again affirms the long-term commitment of SCG and its 7 member companies in practicing sustainable production and business, while enhancing innovation capacity and spreading the spirit of sustainable development in the Vietnamese business community. Along with the 10-year milestone of the CSI award, SCG Group and its member companies will continue to implement sustainable development strategies in all projects, making practical contributions to the environment, community and the common goal - Net Zero 2050.
