From December 2-3, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized an AI application training course for 30 key leaders of the National Trade Union Confederation of Cambodia and the Cambodian Trade Union Confederation.

This is part of a cooperation program that has been effectively maintained for more than a decade between the two countries' trade union organizations, aiming to enhance professional exchanges, strengthen solidarity and improve the capacity of Cambodian trade union officials in the context of strong digital technology development.

In his opening speech, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized the profound impact of artificial intelligence on all areas of life, especially media, where AI is changing the way content is created, distributed and information is evaluated effectively.

The application of AI helps increase efficiency, reduce production time, save costs, and expand the ability to interact with union members and workers on digital platforms. He hopes that the training course will not only provide new skills but also contribute to promoting friendly relations between the Vietnam and Cambodia Trade Unions in the digital age.

Also at the training course, Mr. Soung Houts, Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training of Cambodia, outlined the recent situation of Trade Union activities and expressed his appreciation for the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in staff training.

According to Mr. Chhin Sony, President of the Cambodian Trade Union Confederation, digital technology has made great contributions to the labor sector and the application of technology is helping to shorten travel time and costs, increase access to public services, thereby bringing practical benefits to union members and workers.

The activities aim to increase the practical capacity of officials and support Cambodian Trade Unions, better preparing for the digital transformation process.

The organization of the training course not only equips new skills but also continues to extend the cooperative relationship between the Trade Unions of the two countries, which has been built on solidarity and mutual support throughout many historical periods.
