Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were Mr. Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Colonel Tao Van Truong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Doan Ket ward; lecturers, coaches, athletes, etc.

Comrade Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - delivered the opening remarks at the training course.

In his opening remarks at the training course, Mr. Tran Van Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized: The training course is a practical activity aimed at raising awareness, responsibility, and capacity to implement regulations on doping prevention and control in sports activities, especially for high-achieving coaches and athletes in the province. To ensure the training course achieves high results, Mr. Tran Van Cong requested that coaches and athletes seriously study, improve their awareness, fully comply with regulations on doping prevention and control; proactively update their knowledge, strictly control the use of drugs and supplements during training and competition; and cultivate a sense of fair and honorable competition, contributing to maintaining the prestige and image of Lai Chau province's sports. He also requested that the lecturers deliver the training content in a scientific , easy-to-understand, practical, and relevant manner. The trainees actively exchanged and discussed knowledge to master it and apply it effectively in training and competition.

During the training course, coaches and athletes were taught five topics: Clean sports , violations; nutritional supplements, drug lookup; therapeutic exemptions (TUE); doping test sample collection procedures; and result management (RM).

Comrade Do Duc Thinh from the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center presented the topics at the training course.

The training course was organized with the aim of equipping athletes with core knowledge on doping prevention and control before participating in competitions and national sports events; helping coaches and athletes understand and be ready to correctly implement procedures related to therapeutic exemption (TUE) and doping test sample collection procedures; mastering the rights and obligations of athletes; and identifying and avoiding risks when using drugs and supplements during training and competition.
