Ensure operations are not disrupted during the Tet holiday.

The Vietnam Social Security issued Official Letter No. 347/BHXH-VP dated February 3, 2026, regarding the organization and implementation of tasks before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Social Security requires the heads of affiliated units and the Directors of Social Security in provinces and cities to focus on thoroughly understanding and seriously implementing the directives of the Party, the Government, the Prime Minister , and the Vietnam Social Security regarding serving the people during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the sector, preventing work disruptions and protecting the rights of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies.

Specifically, the Vietnam Social Security requires units to proactively develop plans for assigning officials, civil servants, and employees to be on duty and handle work appropriately during the Tet holiday; ensuring the timely receipt and processing of administrative documents and procedures for citizens and businesses in accordance with regulations.

Paying pensions and social insurance benefits before the Tet holiday.

In particular, focus on fully and promptly settling social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits, paying pensions and monthly social insurance allowances, ensuring the legitimate rights of workers and beneficiaries before the Tet holiday.

In addition, the Vietnam Social Security agency requested increased coordination with health insurance-covered medical facilities to ensure the right to medical examination and treatment for those with social insurance cards during the Tet holiday.

Promptly address any arising issues, ensuring that patients are not refused treatment or subjected to difficulties.

Disseminate information about regulations, work schedules, and necessary contact points during the Tet holiday.

Vietnam Social Security also emphasized the need to strictly enforce administrative discipline and order; and to enhance the sense of responsibility and service attitude towards the people of officials, civil servants, and employees throughout the system.

At the same time, strengthen the dissemination of information and communication on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies so that people and businesses can promptly understand the regulations, work schedules, and contact points when needed during the Tet holiday.

Vietnam Social Security affirms its determination to continue innovating its working style and methods, focusing on serving the people, workers, and businesses, contributing to ensuring social security, so that the people can celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 in a joyful, safe, economical, and meaningful way.
