On the morning of November 26, at the Hall of the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the propaganda plan and activities towards the 260th anniversary of the birth (1765 - 2025) and the 205th anniversary of the death of Great Poet Nguyen Du.
The press conference took place within the framework of the November 2025 press conference chaired by Mr. Ha Van Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, along with Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Vo Xuan Bau - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association.
At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the progress of preparations for commemorative activities; the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission provided information on propaganda orientation; delegates from press agencies raised many ideas to increase communication effectiveness during the peak period of October and November 2025.
According to Mr. Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, the provincial-level celebration is expected to be held in November 2025 at Thanh Sen Square or the Center for Culture, Cinema and Tourism Promotion.
Before the main ceremony, the province will organize an incense and flower offering ceremony at Nguyen Du's grave and memorial site in Tien Dien. Many cultural and artistic activities bearing the mark of Kieu will be held such as: Kieu Recitation Competition, Kieu Story Reading, Kieu Games, calligraphy writing and folk game performances.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is in charge of producing documentaries and exhibitions of publications about Nguyen Du and the Nghi Xuan cultural region, and at the same time preparing scripts for art programs according to the province's assessment milestones.
According to Instruction No. 23-HD/BTGDVTU of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, propaganda work focuses on affirming the special contribution of Great Poet Nguyen Du to Vietnamese and world culture; spreading the value of the special National Monument Nguyen Du Memorial Site; promoting the image of Ha Tinh and Nghi Xuan land.
Press agencies are asked to open specialized pages, increase the length of news articles, promote multi-platform communication; develop reports and specialized documents; and proactively combat and refute false information.
The guidelines also require promoting visual propaganda in Thanh Sen ward and Tien Dien commune; launching creative activities and movements to learn about the Tale of Kieu in schools; and organizing extracurricular activities to visit the Memorial Site.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Thanh Binh - Vice Chairman of Tien Dien Commune People's Committee said that based on the province's plan, the commune is proactively focusing on promoting the anniversary celebration in the commune and Nghi Xuan district (old) to spread information about the program so that people can understand.
Mr. Binh expressed his hope that on this occasion, Tien Dien commune and Nguyen Du Memorial Site will welcome delegations and students from schools across the province to visit. The goal is to spread the unique values and performing activities at the Memorial Site such as Kieu singing and Kieu playing.
At the press conference, many opinions from journalists representing press agencies expressed the hope that the values of Truyen Kieu should be further spread in real life, especially among the youth, because of the educational values of ethics and personality that Nguyen Du left in this work.
Concluding the press conference, Mr. Ha Van Hung highly appreciated the role of the Central and local press agencies in propagating the economic, political and cultural fields of the province in the recent past. After the 20th Party Congress, the celebration is the second largest event of the province.
According to Mr. Ha Van Hung, the success of the celebration depends largely on the propaganda of the press agencies. He suggested that the press agencies closely coordinate with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ensure synchronous and effective communication work.
The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department also emphasized the task of preserving the solemn spirit of the event, while contributing to spreading Nguyen Du's heritage and promoting the image of Ha Tinh to domestic and international friends.
