
According to initial information, at 12:15 PM on the same day, the operations duty officer of the Da Nang City Border Guard received a notification that the cargo ship Tuan Kiet 68, captained by Mr. Tran Van Vu, had drifted outside the bay entrance while anchored in Da Nang Bay for engine repairs.
At the time of reporting, the vessel was drifting approximately 2.5 nautical miles northeast of Tien Sa port. There was one crew member on board. The captain requested urgent assistance to avoid the risk of colliding with a reef and causing an accident.

Upon receiving the information, at 12:55 PM on the same day, the Command of the Border Guard of Da Nang City dispatched vessel BP 08-11-01 along with 6 officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2, captained by Major Nguyen Duc Tuong, to quickly approach and assist in towing the ship back to a safe anchorage area in Da Nang Bay.
By 3 PM, the rescue operation was complete, ensuring the safety of people and vehicles.
