On December 2, the ROKS Hansando training ship of the Republic of Korea Navy with 375 officers and sailors commanded by Rear Admiral Hong Sang Yong docked at Tien Sa port, beginning a courtesy visit to Da Nang city.
The welcoming ceremony took place at Tien Sa port with the participation of representatives of the Navy Region 3 Command, Coast Guard Region 2, Foreign Affairs Department of Military Region 5, Foreign Affairs Department ( Ministry of National Defense ), Navy. Local representatives included leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, Military Command and Border Guard of Da Nang City.

The welcoming ceremony for the ROKS Hansando ship took place at Tien Sa port with the participation of representatives of the armed forces and foreign affairs agencies of Da Nang city.

On the Korean side, there were Lieutenant Colonel Park Jeong Hwan (Korean Defense Attaché in Vietnam), officials from the Korean Embassy in Hanoi , representatives of the Korean Consulate General in Da Nang City and the Korean community living in the locality.

The visit contributes to strengthening the friendly relations and enhancing trust between the two countries, in line with the orientation of promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During the stay, the commander of the ROKS Hansando will pay courtesy calls to the leaders of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Military Region 5, and Naval Region 3; participate in sports exchanges with officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Navy; participate in cultural and tourism tours and open the ship to welcome Vietnamese and Korean visitors.

The delegation will also participate in community activities including cultural exchanges, taekwondo performances and giving gifts to children at Hope Village (Da Nang City).
The farewell ceremony for the ROKS Hansando ship is scheduled to take place on December 5.
