Effectively fulfilling its function and nhiệm vụ of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands, while supporting and assisting fishermen to confidently go out to sea, at 11:30 AM on January 20th, the Trường Sa 10 vessel of Squadron 1, Brigade 125, Command of Region 2 of the Navy, promptly mobilized to carry out the rescue mission for a fishing vessel from Khánh Hòa province that encountered difficulties at sea.

Officers and soldiers of the Trường Sa 10 ship organized the towing and rescue of the distressed fishing vessel.

The fishing vessel involved in the accident was numbered KH 92259 TS, with 8 crew members on board, captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, residing in Long Le Hoa ward, Khanh Hoa province.

Earlier, while fishing in the North-Northwest waters, approximately 48 nautical miles from Da Lat Island in the Truong Sa archipelago, the fishing vessel KH 92259 TS unexpectedly suffered a gearbox failure, resulting in a complete loss of maneuverability. Facing this dangerous situation, with complex weather conditions and strong northeast winds of force 6, posing a high risk to safety, the captain promptly contacted and requested assistance from relevant authorities.

Immediately after receiving the deployment order from the Command of Naval Region 2, the officers and crew of the Truong Sa 10 ship quickly moved to the area where the fishing vessel was in distress. With a high sense of responsibility, determination, and solid professional skills, the officers and crew of the ship safely approached the vessel, provided technical support, and implemented a rescue plan to tow the fishing vessel under bad weather conditions, with northeasterly winds of force 6-7 and rough seas.

The rescue operation was meticulously organized and coordinated, ensuring absolute safety for both personnel and vessels. After many hours of effort overcoming difficulties, the Truong Sa 10 vessel successfully towed the fishing boat KH 92259 TS to Da Lat Island and safely handed it over to the forces on the island at 7:30 AM on January 21st, in accordance with regulations.

Currently, the health and well-being of all officers and soldiers on the Truong Sa 10 vessel, along with the 8 crew members of the fishing boat, are stable and completely safe, with everyone in good spirits. The technical issue with the fishing boat is being inspected and rectified by the relevant authorities in accordance with proper procedures, creating conditions for the fishermen to quickly resume production.

The timely and effective rescue operations of the officers and soldiers of the Truong Sa 10 ship have further affirmed the noble qualities of the Ho Chi Minh Army - the naval soldiers, clearly demonstrating the role of the Vietnam People's Navy as a solid support for fishermen venturing out to sea, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Navy in the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.

This is also a tangible achievement of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 1, Brigade 125, in preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Party.
