In recent times, the leaders of Tay Ninh province have given strong and synchronous direction to create new momentum and new spirit in the whole society, thereby making science - technology , innovation and digital transformation the foundation of all areas of development.

According to Tay Ninh leaders, raising awareness must be identified as a central and continuous task. Because correct awareness will lead to correct action. Science - technology and digital transformation are not only the exclusive fields of specialized agencies but must become the common thinking of the entire political system, businesses and people.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa worked with the Department of Science and Technology on accelerating digital transformation and innovation.

To do that, the province is promoting propaganda and disseminating information about the role and benefits of innovation, digital technology and new economic models. Party committees and authorities at all levels must be pioneers in changing the way of thinking and working; leaders must be exemplary in using technology and approaching digital management methods, thereby spreading the spirit of innovation throughout society.

Next, wanting to create a breakthrough in innovation in thinking, Tay Ninh is promoting from management thinking to service thinking, from administrative thinking to development thinking.

Proactively adopting and applying new technologies and modern management models will help the public apparatus improve its effectiveness and efficiency, while creating a favorable environment for businesses to innovate. Innovative thinking also needs to be demonstrated in the ability to dare to think big, dare to accept new experiments, dare to overcome traditional models to find new growth drivers.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Science and Technology has completed 9/16 key tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and is continuing to deploy 5/16 tasks on schedule.

The field of scientific research recorded many positive activities. The Department has managed and monitored 107 S&T tasks (including transitional tasks), including 01 national-level task, 72 provincial-level S&T tasks (including programs on intellectual property and quality productivity), 22 grassroots-level tasks and 12 tasks participating in policies to support model replication. In particular, the Department has advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to stop implementing 3 provincial-level S&T tasks in the 2025 List.

For example, the application of smart irrigation technology, soil moisture monitoring sensors, pest forecasting software or post-harvest technology helps agricultural enterprises significantly reduce production costs and increase the rate of products meeting export standards.

Enterprises in the fields of food, handicrafts, construction materials, etc. are also gradually applying quality control processes according to international standards, helping to enhance brand value and expand the market.

Along with the development of science and technology, Tay Ninh especially encourages innovation activities in enterprises. The province has formed an innovation ecosystem including management agencies, universities, research centers and start-up enterprises.

Incubation activities, startup support, and technology supply-demand connection are organized regularly, helping businesses quickly access new technologies and intellectual resources from research institutes. Many young businesses have boldly applied new business models, using digital platforms and big data to optimize operations, thereby forming innovative products and services of high value.

One of the bright spots is Tay Ninh's strong development of digital infrastructure, creating an important foundation for businesses to implement digital transformation. Broadband internet network, 4G and moving towards 5G are widely covered, smart urban operation centers are operated effectively, specialized database systems are gradually integrated. These platforms help businesses easily access online public services, reduce costs and transaction times, and create a transparent and smooth environment in production and business activities.

Notably, the province has implemented many financial support programs to encourage businesses to invest in technology. Businesses with technology innovation projects, science and technology applications or digital transformation are considered for support from the provincial Science and Technology Development Fund, preferential credit packages and industrial promotion programs. Thanks to this mechanism, many small and medium-sized enterprises - which have faced difficulties in capital - have boldly invested in new production lines, management software or digital solutions, thereby significantly improving business efficiency.
