Tay Ninh firmly maintains universal preschool education standards for 5-year-old children

On December 9, the working delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) led by Deputy Director of the Department of Preschool Education Hoang Thi Dinh worked with the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh on the content of maintaining Tay Ninh province to meet the standards of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children by 2024. The delegation listened to a report on the results of universalizing preschool education in the province. In recent times, Tay Ninh has continued to maintain many outstanding results in universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children, especially in the context that the province has just completed the merger of administrative boundaries with Long An province and is developing strongly in terms of economy and society.

The province currently has 349 kindergartens, 527 private nursery groups and kindergarten classes with more than 91,700 children attending classes; the network of educational facilities covers 96/96 communes and wards. The rate of mobilizing 5-year-old children to go to school is 99.9%; 100% of children attend 2 sessions/day and 99.1% of children complete the preschool education program. The province maintains 100% of commune-level units (of both Tay Ninh and Long An provinces before the merger) meeting the standards of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children.

The teaching staff continues to be a bright spot as 100% of teachers teaching 5-year-old classes meet the standards, more than 82% above the standards; the teacher/class ratio basically meets the requirements. Investment in facilities is focused, 100% of 5-year-old classes have enough equipment and teaching aids according to regulations.
