Mr. Chai said that from the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month to the end of the 1st lunar month, except for the 1st day of Tet (Lunar New Year), all the rooms were booked in advance: “Guests who come during Tet live with the family, the host warmly welcomes them, invites them to eat, drink, socialize, introduce them to the customs and traditions of the Tay ethnic group during Tet, share a celebratory drink for the new year, give lucky money to guests... to show hospitality. Having guests during Tet is very precious to our family because we consider it a blessing at the beginning of the year. When the village was honored, the family was very happy, and in the future we will invest and develop further to meet the increasing needs of tourists.”

The stilt houses of the Tay people in Quynh Son are built of wood, roofed with yin-yang tiles, and most face south. Especially, we let tourists experience the ancestral worship meal of the Tay people so they can learn about it. On the 29th and 1st day of Tet, the homestay will have activities such as house blessing for good luck and giving lucky money to tourists.”
