Tet sharing reaches out to patients in difficult circumstances.

In the warm atmosphere as the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 approaches, and with the desire to share with patients in difficult circumstances who are being treated at hospitals in Hanoi and do not have the means to go home for the Tet holiday, on the evening of February 11th, the Hanoi City Red Cross Society organized a visit and presented gifts to patients at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and Xanh Pon General Hospital.

Attending this meaningful program were Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh - Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Affairs Department, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Tran Sy Pha - Head of the Social Work and Disaster Management Department, Vietnam Red Cross Society ; representatives from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi City Party Committee; Mr. Le Tu Luc - President of the Hanoi City Red Cross Society; leaders of the Office and Movement Department of the Hanoi City Red Cross Society; Ba Dinh Ward Red Cross Society; and the Humanitarian Service Center. Representing the hospital were Dr. Nguyen Trong Son - Head of the Social Work Department, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital; Dr. Duong Trung Kien - President of the Hospital's Trade Union, Head of the Neurosurgery Department, Xanh Pon General Hospital; and Dr. Bui Hoang Thao - Deputy Head of the Urology Department, in charge of the Social Work Department.

At Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented 20 gifts to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and a box of Ensure milk.

Next, at Xanh Pôn General Hospital, 31 gift packages were presented to patients and children with difficult circumstances who are receiving treatment at the hospital. Of these, the City Red Cross Society donated 20 packages, each consisting of 1 million VND in cash and a box of Ensure milk; the Ba Đình Ward Red Cross Society and benefactors donated 11 packages, each consisting of 1 million VND and a box of biscuits.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Tu Luc, Chairman of the City Red Cross Society, said: "The City Red Cross Society sends its regards and shares its best wishes to patients and children receiving inpatient treatment at the hospital during the Lunar New Year holiday. We hope to spread love and care from the community to those who have to celebrate Tet in the hospital, wishing them a speedy recovery and a new spring filled with hope and peace."

Presenting a plaque of recognition to the City Red Cross Society, Dr. Duong Trung Kien - Chairman of the Hospital's Trade Union, Head of the Neurosurgery Department of Xanh Pon General Hospital - respectfully thanked the City Red Cross Society and the Ba Dinh Ward Red Cross Society for organizing the compassionate Tet gift-giving program, showing affection and care for patients in difficult circumstances. The program, organized by the Society, once again demonstrates the spirit of mutual support and compassion, spreading humanitarian values ​​and hoping to bring a warm and meaningful spring to patients in need.
