Accordingly, the Hoang Lien Wildlife Conservation and Tourism Center handed over and released 14 individuals, including: 7 red-faced macaques ( scientific name: Macaca arctoides), 2 macaques (scientific name: Macaca assamensis), 3 pig-tailed macaques (scientific name: Macaca leonina), and 2 rhesus macaques (scientific name: Macaca mulatta).

Vu Quang National Park released nine individuals of the red-faced monkey, golden monkey, and pig-tailed monkey species. These monkeys belong to the Category 2B of endangered, rare, and precious forest animal species.
This species is also listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world , and needs priority conservation and protection, with restrictions on exploitation and use for commercial purposes.
These rare wild animals were voluntarily handed over to the authorities by local residents beforehand.


The areas selected for reintroduction are all low-impact forest regions, minimally affected by human activity, ensuring abundant natural food sources and suitable habitats for each species.
All the released animals have fully recovered their health, behavior, and natural habits after their rescue.
