Young people immerse themselves in the cool water amidst the wild natural scenery.

Originating from the 1,406-meter-high Adin mountain peak, the waterfall's water cascades from a height of approximately 300 meters over steep cliffs, creating one of the highest waterfalls in Quang Ngai .

From above, the waterfall cascades down as if born from the heart of the mountain, its white foam splashing and a thin layer of mist enveloping the space, creating a mystical atmosphere. As it descends, the water divides into many tiers, sometimes flowing gently like a silken ribbon, sometimes surging and overflowing over the rocky ledges, splitting into two branches before converging in small pools at the foot of the falls.

Surrounding Silk Waterfall is a protected forest with a nearly intact ecosystem. Ancient trees, hundreds of years old, reach high, their roots deeply embedded in the soil, interspersed with layers upon layers of lush green vines and ferns. At the foot of the waterfall, the Xa Ruong stream meanders, contributing to a natural landscape that is both fierce and poetic.

On sunny days, sunlight filters through the mist, creating shimmering rainbows, making the scenery here look like something out of a fairy tale.

More than just a natural wonder, Silk Waterfall is also a cultural space closely intertwined with the lives of the Ca Dong people. For generations, the people here have cultivated rice fields beside the waterfall, held rituals to worship the spirits, and entrusted their faith to the mountains and forests.

These cultural values are still preserved, blending with nature to create a unique identity rarely found elsewhere.

In 2020, Silk Waterfall was recognized as a provincial-level historical site by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, opening up opportunities for the locality to promote its scenic value in conjunction with sustainable tourism development.

The Sơn Tây Hạ commune authorities are calling for investment while also mobilizing residents to work together to protect the scenic area.

Through tourism, this place hopes to promote the distinctive products of the Ca Dong people such as rice wine, nieng fish, wild boar, orchids, and ginseng.

Silk Waterfall – an ideal destination for exploring the vast forests of Son Tay Ha.

With its unique topography and pristine ecosystem, Silk Waterfall has the potential to develop various types of tourism such as sightseeing, picnicking, camping, relaxation, or homestay.

However, the journey to the waterfall remains challenging, as visitors must navigate winding slopes through the dense forest. In return, this very difficulty contributes to preserving the pristine and unspoiled beauty of the landscape.

The dry season is the ideal time to explore Silk Waterfall, when the water is clear and the weather is favorable. For a perfect trip, visitors should prepare lightweight clothing and shoes with good grip for navigating the slippery terrain.

Nestled amidst vast natural landscapes, Silk Waterfall is not only a beautiful scenic spot but also an invitation to exploration, a place where people can rediscover a pristine connection with the mountains, forests, and local culture. This is truly a hidden gem of Quang Ngai tourism waiting to be discovered.
