As a form of tourism that gives visitors many interesting experiences when immersing themselves in the lives of local people, community tourism is being developed in Thai Nguyen. In many localities of Thai Nguyen, people are encouraged to exploit the advantages to develop this model with the desire to both bring economic benefits and preserve and promote the value of cultural and natural heritage.

One of the tourist attractions that regularly attracts visitors is Phu Tho hamlet, Vo Tranh commune. Realizing that this place has a beautiful space with majestic limestone mountains and fresh climate, Mr. Hoang Van Tuan boldly established Phu Do Safe Tea Cooperative to "awaken" this land by linking tea production and culture with community tourism development.

Mr. Hoang Van Tuan said: Visitors coming here can not only immerse themselves in the fresh air, admire the tea fields at the foot of the rocky mountains, but also learn about the unique cultures of the Mong, Tay, and Nung people.

Starting with enthusiastic steps, after just over 3 years, this young cooperative director has spread the aroma of tea, tea culture, and the beauty of the indigenous people to all parts of the country. The happiest thing is that 7 cooperative members and 36 associated households (mainly Nung, Tay, Mong) all have stable income from tea production, combined with community tourism development.

Not only exploiting the potential strengths of tea trees, localities with beautiful landscapes have also proactively exploited the natural landscape from large reservoirs, caves, streams... to develop community tourism.

Up to now, many community tourism spots in Thai Nguyen have been recognized such as: Thai Hai Ethnic Ecological Stilt House Village Conservation Area, Ghenh Che Lake, Tan Cuong Commune; Mo Ga Hamlet, Vo Nhai Commune; Tan Son Hamlet, La Bang Commune... bringing tourists many new and interesting experiences, people working in tourism in the province have reaped sweet fruits when they have additional income to improve their quality of life.

From reality, it can be seen that community tourism is a right direction, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. People in the province have also known how to exploit the available potential and strengths to expand this type of tourism.

However, in many places in the province, this type of tourism is still developing spontaneously, so the efficiency is not high. Therefore, to exploit the potential well, making community tourism one of the types of tourism that has deep development, sustainability, and high efficiency, Thai Nguyen still needs to have long-term strategies such as systematic planning, clear plans; training, equipping knowledge for the community .

In particular, the development of community tourism must ensure that it does not harm the natural environment. Along with that, it is necessary to develop many types of services and tourism products to attract visitors, especially developing craft villages and handicrafts; strengthening cooperation between the state, businesses and communities to achieve the highest efficiency.
