In the first week of operation, Thai Nguyen established 16 working groups to inspect, review, direct and urge the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in disadvantaged communes in the north.
The working groups set off on Saturday, regardless of the long distance, to visit the most remote villages and communes in the province. The determination of the provincial leaders spread, motivating the commune level to take drastic action.
According to the Party Secretary of Bang Thanh Commune, Dao Duy Hung, the commune has established working groups to go to each house to review, finalize the list and propose solutions. Many remote villages and hamlets have to travel by motorbike or on foot, but the cadres all strive to carry out their duties, regardless of the day off.
During the first two weeks, a mountain of work needed to be done at the commune level. This reality required not only capacity and responsibility but also a certain amount of sacrifice. Most of the commune staff worked through the holidays to keep up with the work.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Quan Commune Phan Van To said that in the first two weeks, all cadres and civil servants of the commune worked without days off to complete the work. Many meetings even lasted until night. All efforts were made to stabilize all aspects soon and operate the work effectively and efficiently.
Not only at the commune level, leaders of Thai Nguyen province were also busy working on Saturdays and Sundays of the past two weeks.
On Saturday morning (July 12), Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son chaired a meeting to direct the implementation of key tasks. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested agencies and localities to focus on implementing the 2025 budget revenue and expenditure; economic growth in the last 6 months of the year and public investment management.
On Saturday afternoon (July 12), Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung personally led a working delegation to inspect and urge the acceleration of key projects and works of the province.
The delegation inspected the investment project to build the extended Bac Son road; the road connecting Bac Son road to the provincial sports complex; the provincial stadium; Tan Thai golf course sports area; and the headquarters of provincial agencies.
At the inspection, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung emphasized that these projects and works are significant to the development of not only Thai Nguyen but also the whole region. Therefore, localities and agencies must promote the responsibility of leaders and public service responsibilities. Construction units promote the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain"; "3 shifts, 4 shifts" to speed up progress.
On Sunday morning (July 13), leaders of Thai Nguyen province traveled nearly 100km to the old Bac Kan province to hold a working session with 37 northern communes. These communes still face many difficulties, posing requirements and challenges for Thai Nguyen province to solve.
Based on inspection and listening, difficulties have been pointed out, such as: degraded traffic; lack of resettlement land fund for site clearance; lack of staff, lack of finance and accounting staff; difficulties in resources to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses...
These difficulties have been directed to be resolved immediately by the leaders of Thai Nguyen province. For communes lacking cadres, they will review and have written documents advising on mobilization and secondment from departments and branches to support. The provincial leaders also assigned the Department of Home Affairs to deploy professional training courses in the form of "hand-holding and showing work" for cadres and civil servants of communes and wards, with special priority given to 37 communes in the north...
On Sunday afternoon (July 13), leaders of Thai Nguyen province continued to survey the second campus of Bac Kan Vocational College to study and consider the policy of expanding the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School to meet the learning and living needs of ethnic minority children.
Besides working through the holidays, the quality of work is the top priority of Thai Nguyen province. The work progress requires working through the holidays but the work must be done with good quality. A "mountain" of daily work requires scientific arrangement to handle and solve effectively.
The province directs the completion of the post-merger organizational structure, ensuring resources for smooth operation of the political system from the provincial to the communal level. The handling of work under authority at both levels must be smooth, without delay or error; building a modern, transparent administrative environment, taking people and businesses as the center of service, shifting from "administrative service" to "service to the people".
Units and localities must do a good job of political and ideological work, promptly and fully resolve policies and regimes for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers according to the Central's instructions.
Strengthening propaganda and guidance for people on new regulations, locations and working methods; consolidating people's consensus and support for the implementation of two-level local government organization; effectively implementing social security work, policies for people with meritorious services, sustainable poverty reduction, especially in ethnic minority areas, remote and isolated areas; preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, turning culture into a resource for economic development; effectively managing and using resources, proactively adapting to climate change and protecting the environment.
Localities focus on implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; supporting housing for people with meritorious services according to the direction in Decision No. 38-QD/TU dated July 3, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Document No. 227/UBND-CNN&XD dated July 7, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee.
It can be said that the spirit of determination in handling work, regardless of holidays, is something that is worth noting in Thai Nguyen province. Maintaining and promoting that spirit of determination will be the foundation for the province to develop strongly in the coming time.
