Thai Nguyen: 3 more intangible cultural heritages recognized

Recently, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a Decision to announce the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritages. In particular, Thai Nguyen province has 3 more heritages included in the List, including: Nom script of the Dao people in Thai Nguyen province; the art of sewing and embroidery of the Dao people in Hop Tien commune (Dong Hy district), Nghinh Tuong commune and Lien Minh commune (Vo Nhai district); and Vi singing of the Tay people (Dinh Hoa district).

Thus, up to now, Thai Nguyen has a total of 22 intangible cultural heritages that have been included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritages by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism . Along with the 3 heritages mentioned above, 19 heritages were previously recognized: Tac Xinh dance, Sang Co singing, Harvest praying festival (San Chay ethnic group), Cap Sac ceremony, Tet Nhay ritual, Pa Dung singing (Dao ethnic group); Tham Roc dry puppetry and Ru Nghe, Then ritual, Long Tong festival, Luon coi (Tay ethnic group); Soong Co singing, Cap Sac ritual (San Diu ethnic group), Het Khoan ritual, Cap Sac ritual (Nung ethnic group), Duom temple festival (Phu Luong district), Phuong Do communal house festival (Phu Binh district); Khen art of Mong people, Van - Vo mountain festival, Van Yen commune (Dai Tu district); Folk knowledge of growing and processing Tan Cuong tea, Tan Cuong commune, Phuc Triu commune, Phuc Xuan commune (Thai Nguyen city).

The inclusion in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List is the basis for preserving and promoting the value of traditional cultural heritage in Thai Nguyen province; raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people in preserving and promoting the value of heritage as well as proposing solutions for effective management, preservation and promotion. In addition, strengthening state management of the above activities, attaching the responsibility of all levels of government, organizations and people to socialize the work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage.
