At the beginning of the program, Vinh Râu shared that he had been following " Vietnamese Family Home" since its early days and was always deeply moved. The actor was particularly impressed with the episode featuring Thái Vũ as a guest, when his colleague was mistakenly teased as someone in the "fourth situation" (referring to a difficult, disadvantaged situation). He expressed his happiness at being invited by Thái Vũ, the "fourth situation," to participate in the program.

When Thai Vu continued to tease that Vinh Rau could become the "fifth category," the actor wittily replied: "For me, it doesn't matter which category I'm considered to be. What I want most is to do my best in any challenge to bring support to the three main categories of the program, no matter what position I'm in . "

Singer Hoang Duyen revealed that she is from Tay Ninh and couldn't hide her happiness at having the opportunity to return to her hometown to participate in the " Vietnamese Family Shelter" program . For her, this trip is not only meaningful but also an emotional journey, as she gets to contribute, share, and provide encouragement to those in difficult circumstances right in the land where she was born and raised. Hoang Duyen said that returning to her hometown as a guest on the program is a special memory, helping her to further appreciate the value of family, human kindness, and the simple things in life.

It's heartbreaking to see the plight of Kiều My, who lost her father at a young age, and whose mother is mentally impaired, leaving her to rely on her elderly grandmother.

Tran Thi Kieu My (born in 2010), currently in 10th grade at Tan Ke High School, lives with her mother and younger sister in An Ngai Trung commune, Vinh Long province. Tragedy struck in July 2025 when her father suddenly passed away from a stroke. Her mother, Duong Thi Kieu Loan (born in 1986), suffers from a neurological disorder and is unable to work, only managing daily household chores. My's younger sister, Tran Thi Kieu Anh (born in 2018), is currently attending preschool and is frequently ill. Since the death of their father, the family's breadwinner, Kieu My's family has been in dire straits due to the lack of income.

The house where the mother and her two children live was built with the help of a kind employer, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ga (67 years old), while she was working as a hired laborer. Currently, Mrs. Ga is also the one who takes care of Kieu My's family. Despite her advanced age and frail health, and her inability to work much anymore, she still carefully saves every penny to provide for her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Ga lives in the house next door with My's uncle, but he's also struggling financially, barely able to support his own family of three young children who are still in school, so he can only occasionally help with some food. Since My's father passed away, her grandmother has been raising chickens and ducks to supplement their income, helping My and her mother and siblings make ends meet.

Besides her grandmother's support, My's family also receives 1 million dong per month from her uncle. My and her grandmother manage this meager amount very frugally to cover their daily expenses. Her grandmother is elderly and frail, often suffering from aches and pains, yet she still has to shoulder the burden of caring for the entire family. My is a sensible girl who loves her mother and younger siblings and is especially close to her grandmother.

After each school day, My always makes time to do housework because her mother can't do much, and she also helps her grandmother take care of the chickens and ducks to ease her burden. My always tries her best in her studies, hoping to have a stable job in the future to take care of her mother and younger sibling, as well as repay her grandmother's sacrifices. Every time she mentions her father, My can't hold back her tears. When he was alive, rain or shine, tired or exhausted, her father still went out to sell lottery tickets to support the family, rarely resting, only hoping that his wife and children could have a more substantial meal.

Despite her advanced age and frail health, Kieu My's grandmother carefully saves every penny, becoming the sole support for her orphaned grandchildren and her mentally disabled daughter.

My's journey to school is incredibly difficult, especially on rainy days when the dirt road becomes muddy and slippery. Every morning, she has to walk a considerable distance to reach the main road to continue to class. Despite the difficulties, My perseveres and has never complained. She particularly loves Literature and dreams of becoming a preschool teacher, a field of study that suits her abilities and economic circumstances. My hopes that when she grows up, she will have a stable job to take care of her mother and younger sister, and above all, to repay the sacrifices of her grandmother, who dedicated her old age to raising and caring for her family during the most difficult times.

MC Thai Vu expressed his sorrow over Kieu My's family situation, lacking a breadwinner, with young siblings, an elderly and frail grandmother, and a mentally unstable mother. He worried about Kieu My's future and encouraged the girl, who lost her father at a young age and always longed to become the pillar of the family. The male MC was also heartbroken to see the elderly grandmother still struggling to support her orphaned grandchildren.

Hearing Kieu My share that she had mentally prepared herself for the fact that her family couldn't provide for her future, and that she planned to finish high school and then go to work, accepting the possibility of abandoning her dreams to take care of her mother, younger sister, and repay her grandmother's kindness, Thai Vu couldn't hide his emotions.

Singer Hoang Duyen was moved to tears by Kieu My's all-female family, noting that even though the children were young, they were strong and never gave up despite losing their breadwinner. She expressed her belief that Kieu My would become a solid support for her family in the future.

Actor Vinh Râu was moved and expressed his admiration for Kiều My's hardworking grandmother. His grandmother's words, "I will try my best to raise my grandchildren until my last day, no matter how difficult it is," choked him up. The actor was also impressed by Kiều My's understanding nature, always helping her grandmother with household chores and putting her younger sister first. The image of Kiều My's family's simple meal of vegetables and soy sauce further touched the hearts of the artists. In particular, Kiều My's answer when asked if she liked any particular food – "Since my father passed away, I haven't found anything delicious anymore" – brought tears to many eyes.

Orphaned at a young age, Nhu Ngoc relied on her elderly grandparents to continue her education.

Phan Huynh Nhu Ngoc (born in 2009) is currently a 10th-grade student at Che Guevara High School. Nhu Ngoc lost both her parents at a very young age and currently lives with her paternal grandparents in Mo Cay commune, Vinh Long province.

Orphaned at a young age, Nhu Ngoc grew up surrounded by the love and silent sacrifices of her paternal grandparents.

Nhu Ngoc's grandfather, Mr. Phan Van Hoanh (born in 1944), is in poor health, hard of hearing, and no longer able to do heavy labor. Every day, he spends his time cleaning the house. His livelihood mainly depends on a 500,000 VND monthly elderly allowance and the meager income of her grandmother.

My grandmother, To Thi Lien (born in 1953), is currently the main breadwinner in the family. Every day she works as a hired laborer, helping to pull coconuts. She suffers from sinusitis and joint pain, but she hasn't seen a doctor for a long time because she fears her condition will worsen and she won't have the strength to continue supporting the family. Due to her limited health, she can only work 3-4 days a week, earning about 30-40 thousand dong per day.

The family currently lives in a charity house built over 20 years ago, which is now severely dilapidated with cracked walls, a rotten roof, and leaks everywhere when it rains. Only the elderly grandparents and a young daughter who is still in school live in the house, so they are completely unable to afford repairs.

Orphaned at a young age, Ngoc receives a monthly allowance of 750,000 VND. She suffered from colitis and had to take a year off from school. Fortunately, her health gradually stabilized, and this year Ngoc returned to school, continuing her education, which she cherishes. Out of compassion for her grandmother's hard work, Ngoc helps her grandmother with odd jobs on weekends and during summer holidays to earn extra money to support herself. She always dreams of growing up quickly, excelling in her studies, and repaying the silent sacrifices of her grandparents.

MC Thai Vu emotionally shared that he himself doesn't have a father, so he particularly empathizes with Nhu Ngoc's story. He was impressed by the little girl's words: "Parents, rest assured, I will be a useful member of society," and noticed that despite lacking parental love, Nhu Ngoc is still very strong, understanding, and always strives for kindness. The male MC gave her a comforting hug, encouraging her to continue striving. When he heard Nhu Ngoc recount her visits to her father's grave, her conversations with her deceased father, or her drawings of a complete family with parents and grandparents, Thai Vu couldn't hold back his emotions and broke down in tears.

MCs Thai Vu, Vinh Rau, and Hoang Duyen were heartbroken when they heard the story of Nhu Ngoc's family.

Actor Vinh Râu was moved by Như Ngọc's kindness. He was impressed to see the little girl shed tears while watching clips about the circumstances of other characters, expressing empathy and understanding for their hardships, which deeply saddened him. Furthermore, Vinh Râu admired the willpower of Mrs. Liên – Như Ngọc's grandmother – who, despite her gray hair, still works every day to earn money, caring for her husband and raising her orphaned grandchildren. He likened her to a "superhero," always a source of support and protection for her grandchildren amidst their suffering.

Singer Hoang Duyen hugged Nhu Ngoc tightly, constantly comforting the little girl who had been deprived of affection at a young age. She couldn't hide her worry for Nhu Ngoc's family, as her grandparents were elderly and she was still so young, yet they had to rely on each other every day. In particular, Nhu Ngoc's words, "I'm afraid that when I have money, I won't be able to repay my grandparents' kindness. I'm afraid that my success will come later than the remaining time my grandparents have left," brought tears to Hoang Duyen's eyes.
