Warm military-civilian relations at the border of the armed forces of Military Region 7

On December 6, the Military Region 7 Command coordinated with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province to organize a series of events in the program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Military Region 7 Armed Forces (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025) with many mass mobilization activities to promote military-civilian relations in the Vietnam-Cambodia border communes in Tay Ninh province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Political Commissar of Military Region 7, said that in carrying out military and defense tasks in the area, in recent times, the Military Region 7 Command has deployed many new, creative, and effective projects and models that are both strategic and have profound socio-political significance, such as the Project on building residential areas adjacent to Border Militia Posts, stations, and Border Guard posts.

According to Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, up to now, with the coordination of localities, Military Region 7 has built 58 locations with more than 800 houses. In 2024-2025 alone, the Military Region will support the construction of 150 houses, contributing to improving the lives of officers and people; improving the appearance of residential areas in border areas, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, building new rural areas associated with building a strong national defense, creating a solid people's position, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border.

The inauguration and handover of 69 houses in the border area is part of a series of meaningful activities in the program of returning to the source to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Military Region. The houses were built on the family's available land, designed as level 4 houses, brick walls, corrugated iron roofs, ceilings, cold corrugated iron, tiled floors, with a construction area of ​​80 - 100 square meters. The total construction cost was nearly 12 billion VND, of which Military Region 7 supported 6.9 billion VND, the locality and the family contributed the remaining cost.

Border residential areas are all located on the border patrol route, connected to the Militia posts and border residential areas, convenient for travel, exchange, and trade of goods; creating conditions for people to settle down and work, stay close to the border, and work with local armed forces to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and national border security; contributing to building a solid national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture in border areas, creating momentum to form new residential areas, develop production, stabilize life, and contribute to building new rural areas in border areas.

At the handover ceremony, the Military Region 7 Command presented congratulatory gifts to the households receiving houses, each gift worth 7 million VND/household including: TV, Uncle Ho's picture, national flag. Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee presented gifts worth 1 million VND and 2 million VND in cash/household, the Provincial Military Command presented gifts worth 1 million VND and 1 million VND in cash/household.

Also on December 6, leaders of Military Region 7 Command organized working delegations to visit and present gifts to 8 border militia posts and 1 Border Guard station; visit and present gifts to teachers and students of Tan Hiep kindergarten, Tan Hiep border commune of Tay Ninh province; visit and present gifts to express gratitude to the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and policy beneficiaries in Duc Hue commune and the border communes of Dong Thanh, My Quy, Binh Thanh of Tay Ninh province.

On the afternoon of December 6, the Military Region 7 Command organized the groundbreaking ceremony for 4 specialized classrooms, donated funds to build a mini soccer field, and gave gifts to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies at Binh Hoa Nam Primary School, Duc Hue Commune, Tay Ninh Province; and inaugurated and handed over the "Military-Civilian Friendship" house to people in Binh Phu Hamlet, Duc Hue Commune, Tay Ninh Province.
