Throughout her childhood, Mum could not walk or live like a normal person. She needed her parents' hands to hold her day and night. However, in Mum's clear eyes, there has never been a complaint or resignation. Instead, Mum always has a gentle smile, carrying the belief that: "I am disabled but not useless".

In 2018, while accidentally surfing the internet with an old phone, Mum saw knitting tutorial videos . From then on, she taught herself how to crochet stuffed animals, flowers, shirts, hats, etc. At first, the distorted and clumsy products discouraged Mum. But then, she patiently tried each stitch and each line. Without going to school, without anyone holding her hand to guide her, it was all her own effort and passion. Gradually, Mum's products became skillful, beautiful, and were praised by many people in the neighborhood. Every time she completed an item, Mum smiled: "It's just yarn, but when I crochet a beautiful product, I feel that I have value. It's like my dream, I crochet whatever I wish, if I can crochet it, it will be very beautiful."

Mum's mother, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phuc - a thin but strong woman - earns her living by weaving bamboo ropes. All her life she has been attached to this meticulous manual work, even though her back has degenerated joints, many days it is swollen from pain, but for her child's dream, she always works hard at knitting all night. Mrs. Phuc shared: "My child loves this knitting job very much, it is his joy. Sometimes he is so passionate, he works from morning until night. When he runs out of money to buy wool, my child asks me to lend him 100,000 VND to buy wool, and when he sells it, he will pay me back. So I give him all the money I earn from knitting, as long as my child is happy."

Mum's dream started with her sacrifice.

Although she has skills and her products are loved by everyone, Mum's work is currently facing many difficulties. Due to lack of transportation, and her house being far from the market, she has to rely on her mother's help to find customers, promote products, and deliver them to customers. What worries Mum the most is the lack of capital to buy raw materials. A good roll of wool costs a lot, while her parents' income is only enough to cover the minimum living expenses. Sometimes, Mum has to stop working because she runs out of yarn or her crochet hook breaks and she doesn't have money to replace it.
