During the rest of the first half, although both teams played with great determination, their attacks were greatly affected by the heavy rain and neither side scored any more goals.

After the break, the match was still quite balanced with tit-for-tat situations.

In the 50th minute, from a corner kick by U23 Thailand, a U23 Cambodia player clumsily headed the ball back, causing goalkeeper Ly Heng to lose control of the situation, leading to an own goal.

Conceding an unfortunate goal, U23 Cambodia began to attack.

In the 70th minute, Khoan Soben fired a powerful shot in the penalty area but could not beat the U23 Thailand goalkeeper.

On the opposite side of the field, with the advantage in hand, the blue team proactively pulled their formation down to play defensive counter-attack.

In the 80th minute, Nethithorn dribbled the ball outside the penalty area and then fired a shot that hit a Cambodian U23 defender's leg and changed direction into the net, leaving goalkeeper Ly Heng helpless.

During the remaining time, the two teams created a few more scoring opportunities but neither side was able to capitalize on them.

With this result, U23 Thailand won a ticket to the semi-finals and finished first in Group A. Meanwhile, U23 Cambodia was eliminated.
