On January 13th, FPT Group announced the establishment of FPT Israel, with the vision of becoming a leading innovation and technology development center, connecting the startup ecosystem.

FPT Group announced the establishment of FPT Israel with the aim of expanding its presence in one of the world's leading centers for high technology and innovation, particularly in core technology areas, aligning with Vietnam's strategic technology development orientation in general and FPT's in particular.

By establishing FPT Israel, FPT Group aims to cooperate in development, exchange technology, build a research and development (R&D) center, keep up with technological trends to serve global customers, and focus on national strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and semiconductor chips.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Group, recalled historical stories between Vietnam and Israel, highlighting profound similarities in their development history, namely the aspiration for development and the strong belief that education and technology are the keys to a nation's progress.

"President Ho Chi Minh affirmed that Vietnam must stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading powers through education and knowledge. Today, that spirit continues to be realized through a development strategy based on science and technology, in the context of Vietnam having issued many important guidelines and policies on technology, especially Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, along with Decision 1131/QD-TTg focusing on the goal of developing and mastering strategic technologies including AI, cybersecurity, semiconductor chips...", Mr. Truong Gia Binh shared.

He affirmed: "That's why, with the establishment of FPT Israel - a startup nation - we can learn from its innovative spirit, access advanced education, expand deep cooperation and development, and master core technologies."

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Information Technology Industry Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, said that the "Make in Vietnam" initiative for the 2026-2030 period emphasizes the spirit of: designing in Vietnam, manufacturing in Vietnam - to lead the way.

According to Director Nguyen Khac Lich, a nation that wants to develop rapidly and sustainably in the digital age needs strong technology companies that master core technologies, control platforms, and possess international competitiveness. FPT is one of the pioneering companies in Vietnam that has opened doors to foreign markets, and FPT Israel is the next step, demonstrating its determination to reach the "peak" of technology.

The Ministry of Science and Technology suggested that FPT Israel focus on innovation as its cornerstone, promote R&D cooperation, and expand its market through quality, reputation, adherence to international standards, and technological ethics, thereby contributing back to Vietnam in terms of technological value and innovation.

"The Ministry of Science and Technology, along with other relevant ministries and agencies, will continue to refine mechanisms and policies to enable technology companies like FPT to promote 'Make in Vietnam' to a higher level," Director Nguyen Khac Lich pledged.

Ambassador Yaron Mayer, the Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam, shared that Israel is always open and welcoming to partners from Vietnam.

Within the framework of the event, FPT introduced its advanced technology partners in Israel, aiming to expand its ecosystem of high-tech solutions in many key areas such as education (Enabley), high-tech agriculture (CropX), cybersecurity (Cyabra and CyberproAI), quantum encryption (BATM Advanced Communications Ltd), quantum computing (Classiq), semiconductors (AsicSValue), and business expansion (NAOR Group).

Israel is known as the "Startup Nation" and is one of the world's leading technology and innovation hubs. The high-tech sector plays a significant role in the Israeli economy, and the country ranks 14th out of 139 nations worldwide in the Innovation Index.

FPT has now built a network in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide, gradually asserting the position of Vietnamese technology enterprises on the global technology map.
