Ben Cat city will have a modern urban area of 290 hectares

Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province issued Decision No. 2062/QD-UBND approving the investment policy of the Dong An Tay urban area project in An Tay ward and Phu An commune, Ben Cat city.

The new urban area is expected to include townhouses, villas, resettlement townhouses, social townhouses; offices, shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants; kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, high schools; medical facilities synchronous with technical infrastructure and a system of green works, water surfaces, etc., contributing to effectively exploiting the area's land fund, promoting the socio -economic development of An Tay ward, Phu An commune in particular and Ben Cat city in general.

The expected land area is about 288.84 hectares; of which the expected land and ground area is about 280.44 hectares, the expected water surface area is about 8.4 hectares. The expected population is about 14,300 people, the total number of apartments/houses is about 7,100, the project investment capital is expected to be 13,564 billion VND.

Project implementation period is 50 years; time to complete investment and construction of the entire project within no more than 12 years from the date the competent authority approves the results of investor selection or approves the investor.

The investor selected according to the provisions of law is responsible for preparing a plan for investment phases or dividing the project into components and it is shown in the detailed planning project at a scale of 1/500 to ensure investment efficiency, feasibility, conformity with planning at all levels and approved by competent State agencies.

In order to attract investors with sufficient capacity and experience to implement the project, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province issued Decision No. 2112/QD-UBND dated July 18, 2024 approving the preliminary requirements on the capacity and experience of investors registering to implement the Dong An Tay urban area project. In which, specific requirements on financial capacity and experience in implementing similar projects are required.

The People's Committee of Binh Duong province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to organize the announcement and posting of project information on the National Bidding Network System in accordance with current regulations; coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to widely announce and post information on the decision to approve the project investment policy, the decision to approve the preliminary request dossier on the capacity and experience of the investor on the Electronic Information Portal of the Provincial People's Committee to create favorable conditions for interested investors to register to implement the project.

At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Ben Cat City People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to organize a preliminary assessment of the capacity and experience of investors submitting project registration documents. Based on the assessment results, report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on the organization of the next steps in accordance with current regulations.
