Ho Chi Minh City adds 3 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee

Ho Chi Minh City People's Council elected three additional Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee, perfecting the leadership apparatus to meet management and operation requirements during the period when the City enters a new model after the rearrangement.

Within the framework of the 5th Session (special session), on the morning of November 14, the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously voted to elect additional key leadership positions of the People's Council and the City People's Committee.

With a high percentage of votes, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh and Mr. Tran Van Bay were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, born in 1972, from the former Ba Ria-Vung Tau (now Ho Chi Minh City), has a Bachelor of Law and Advanced Political Theory.

Before working in the new Ho Chi Minh City after the reorganization, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh had a long time working in the old Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, having held many positions: Chief of Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of the district, Vice Chairman, Chairman of the People's Committee of the old Chau Duc district; Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of the old Ba Ria-Vung Tau province; after the merger, he held the position of City Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Finance of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, born in 1980, from the former Thua Thien- Hue (now Hue city); Bachelor of Law, Master of Road and Bridge Construction and Advanced Political Theory.

Before working at the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee after the merger, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh had many years of experience in the Transport sector of the former Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, holding important positions such as Director of the Provincial Transport Project Management Board; Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Provincial Transport Construction Joint Stock Company; Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of the former Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

With his deep professional experience, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh is considered to have made effective contributions to the field of infrastructure development management of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Tran Van Bay, born in 1971, from Dong Nai, has a Master's degree in Law and Advanced Political Theory. He worked at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, then held many key positions at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, including: Head of the Judicial Support Department and Deputy Director of the Department. Since 2017, Mr. Tran Van Bay has held the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of District 9; in 2021, he was transferred to be Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; in June 2024, he was appointed Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City.

After the merger, Mr. Tran Van Bay continues to hold the position of Chief Inspector of the new Ho Chi Minh City. With rich experience in the fields of law, inspection and urban management, he is expected to perform well in the leadership role of the City People's Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council. Previously, the City People's Council unanimously dismissed Mr. Nguyen Van Tho from the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council voted to elect three comrades to the City People's Committee, including Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Chief of Office of the City People's Committee; Mr. Tran Quang Lam, Director of the City Department of Construction and Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Director of the City Department of Tourism./.
