Ho Chi Minh City supports Da Nang with more than 15 billion VND to overcome damage caused by floods.

DNO - On the evening of November 11, a working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Phuoc Loc, came to present funds to support the people of Nam Phuoc commune in particular and Da Nang city in general to overcome damage caused by floods.

Accompanying the delegation were Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung; Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong.

Accordingly, the delegation donated 15 billion VND to Da Nang city to support people affected by floods; 800 million VND to help schools in Nam Phuoc commune repair facilities and purchase teaching equipment; and 100 gifts to students and families affected by floods.

In addition, the delegation supported house repairs for two households in Nam Phuoc commune, Mrs. Ngo Thi Lieu (Lang Chau Bac village) and Mrs. Vo Thi Toi (Phuoc My village) with an amount of 60 million VND.

According to statistics, due to the impact of the flood from October 25 to November 3, Nam Phuoc commune was flooded in 23/23 villages, affecting 14,150 households.

The whole commune had 14 injured people, 100% of houses were flooded. The total damage in the whole Nam Phuoc commune is estimated at nearly 42 billion VND.
