Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai agreed to independently divide the project to build 3 connecting bridges.

(DN) - Regarding the road bridge construction projects connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee have concluded on the planning and investment in the construction of road bridges connecting the two localities.

For the construction projects of Cat Lai, Long Hung ( Dong Nai 2) and Phu My 2 bridges, the People's Committees of the two localities agreed to divide these projects into independent projects for investment and construction implementation.

Specifically, for Cat Lai Bridge, it is agreed to divide into 2 independent projects. In which, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is the competent state agency to implement the Cat Lai Bridge Construction Project, including the main bridge (to the bridge abutment location on the Ho Chi Minh City side) and the approach road on the Dong Nai province side (including site clearance work in Dong Nai province) under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee implements the Nguyen Thi Dinh Road Expansion Project, from My Thuy intersection to Dong Nai River (including site clearance work in Ho Chi Minh City) in the form of public investment from the city budget.

The two localities agreed to assign the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to urgently review and advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to sign a document to send to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to assign the competent authority to implement the Cat Lai Bridge Project. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance advised the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council in accordance with regulations. The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board urgently completed and submitted a proposal to the investor of the Project to Renovate, Upgrade and Expand Nguyen Thi Dinh Street.

Regarding Phu My 2 Bridge, it is agreed to divide it into 2 independent projects. In which, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is the competent state agency to implement the Phu My 2 Bridge Construction Project, including the main bridge and the approach road on the Ho Chi Minh City side (including site clearance work in Ho Chi Minh City) under the PPP method. Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee implements the Road Project connecting Nguyen Ai Quoc Street to Phu My 2 Bridge (including site clearance work in Dong Nai Province), the investment form is decided by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.

Unanimously divide the Long Hung Bridge Project into 2 independent projects. In which, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is the competent state agency to implement the Long Hung Bridge Construction Project, including the main bridge and the approach road on Dong Nai Province side (including site clearance work in Dong Nai Province) under the PPP method. Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee implements the Road Project connecting Go Cong Intersection to Long Hung Bridge (including site clearance work in Ho Chi Minh City) in the form of public investment from the city budget.

With the two projects of building Phu My 2 and Long Hung bridges, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province agreed on the investment form, the competent state agency to implement the project and report to the People's Council of the same level.
