Hue City supports 3 billion VND to help Dak Lak overcome the consequences of natural disasters

On the afternoon of December 2, at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee at Base 2 (Binh Kien Ward), a working delegation from Hue City led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, presented 3 billion VND to support Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Receiving the delegation were comrades Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dao My, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee received the working delegation of Hue City.

Speaking at the support handover ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thi Ai Van shared that recently, Hue City has also had to cope with natural disasters and floods. However, through monitoring information, Hue leaders and people are especially saddened by the heavy losses that Dak Lak province is facing.

“We understand very well the severity of storms and floods and the losses that people have to bear. That is why, when hearing that Dak Lak was heavily affected, the entire Fatherland Front system and communes and wards of Hue City joined hands to contribute. Even people in flooded areas where the water had not yet receded voluntarily supported and donated goods to send to the Central region and Dak Lak. That is the sentiment and solidarity of compatriots in times of trouble,” said the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City Nguyen Thi Ai Van shared experiences of Hue people in responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Ai Van also shared more about the experiences in coping with and overcoming the consequences of floods that Hue people have accumulated over many years. According to her, famine relief and immediate care for people's lives are only the first steps; the journey of reconstruction, stabilizing production and life after natural disasters will be very long.

“With this support amount, the Party Committee and people of Hue City wish to contribute a small part to help Dak Lak soon overcome difficulties and stabilize the lives of people in the damaged areas,” said comrade Nguyen Thi Ai Van.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Thi Chien Hoa respectfully expressed her gratitude for the deep affection of the Party Committee and people of Hue City for Dak Lak province.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the locality is urgently implementing many solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, but needs more time and resources due to the huge extent of damage.

Hue City delegation presented a symbolic plaque of 3 billion VND to support Dak Lak province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

“The timely support from Hue City is not only materially meaningful but also a great source of encouragement for the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Lak province in this difficult and tribulational time,” emphasized comrade Huynh Thi Chien Hoa.
