Good news

Joining the crowds celebrating the April 30th - May 1st holiday, we witnessed a huge influx of visitors to Thanh Toan tiled bridge. Here, tourists can immerse themselves in the simple, rustic life of the countryside by enjoying authentic, traditional dishes; experiencing and visiting traditional crafts and farming tools used by local farmers. Visitors can also shop for local products on weekends.

Mr. Trinh Boy from Phu Xuan ward shared: “On weekends, I often take my family to Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge for sightseeing. My family members, especially the children, really enjoy the atmosphere of nighttime shopping and eating, the folk games, and the cultural performances here. My family hopes that the Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge night market will continue to develop and diversify its local products to serve the shopping and enjoyment needs of tourists.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Thuy Ward, in recent years, tourism in Thanh Thuy has received significant investment and development, attracting an increasing number of tourists to Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge, especially on weekends. Besides shopping, visitors can also enjoy Hue cuisine , listen to performances, and experience the tranquil nightlife of Thanh Thuy. Currently, the Tile-Roofed Bridge night market provides employment for over 110 households, helping many families earn a stable income.

Traditional and OCOP (One Commune One Product) product stalls also attract a large number of visitors and shoppers. "Just during the recent April 30th - May 1st holiday, Thanh Toan Tile Bridge Night Market attracted nearly 13,000 visitors, generating revenue of approximately 500 million VND," informed Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the Thanh Thuy Ward People's Committee.

Diverse services

Thanh Thuy is a land rich in historical and cultural value that is being exploited for tourism development. The ward currently has 8 historical sites, including 4 national-level sites such as Thanh Toan tiled bridge, Ton That Thuyet ancestral temple, Van The village communal house, and Thuy Duong communal house and pagoda; along with 4 city-level sites.

In Thanh Thuy, tourists can not only enjoy and experience the local produce and traditional farming practices of the people, but also combine it with visits to historical and cultural sites in the ward. Taking advantage of this, the people are organizing more business services, especially selling local products and agricultural produce to meet the shopping and souvenir needs of tourists.

To promote cultural and historical values, the locality focuses on the restoration and preservation of heritage sites, combined with communication efforts to help people, especially the younger generation, better understand the value of the heritage in the area.

Beyond conservation, Thanh Thuy actively organizes and participates in festivals, becoming a popular destination for the Hue Festival and now the Four Seasons Festival, attracting large numbers of people and contributing to promoting the local image.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khang, in the period 2025-2030, Thanh Thuy will continue to focus on the comprehensive development of tourism, culture, sports, and the building of a civilized lifestyle. Propaganda efforts will be intensified to raise public awareness in building a modern and cultured living environment.

These changes show that this locality is moving in the right direction as a suburban urban area, contributing to the overall development of the city.
