Government Inspectorate works with Government Cipher Committee on information security and safety

At the working session, Head of the Administration - General Department, Office, Government Inspectorate Vu Thiet Hoang reported an overview of the situation and results of the implementation of information security and safety at the Government Inspectorate. Accordingly, in recent years, the work of disseminating and implementing the Law on Cryptography, the Law on Cyber Security, the Law on Protection of State Secrets and Decrees on the Strategy for the Development of the Cryptography Sector, the work of information security and safety of the Government has been paid attention to by the Party Committee and the Government Inspectorate's leaders, directing the dissemination and implementation of legal documents on cryptography, confidentiality and safety. However, at the Government Inspectorate, information security work still has certain difficulties and problems. In order to effectively implement this work, the report also presents a number of recommendations and proposals to improve the work of information security and safety at the Government Inspectorate in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Sy Bay requested the Government Cipher Committee to continue to coordinate and assist the Government Inspectorate in performing tasks in information security; organize training on security for officers working in the Government Inspectorate's cipher work; support, advise, answer difficulties and problems, provide professional guidance on network safety and security, especially coordinate to survey the information technology system of the Government Inspectorate to ensure it is suitable for the actual conditions of the unit.

Acknowledging the results in implementing information security and safety work of the Government Inspectorate in the past time, Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee Nguyen Dang Luc agreed with the direction of tasks, especially the recommendations and proposals of the Government Inspectorate to resolve limitations, difficulties, and obstacles and enhance coordination between the two agencies in information security and safety for the Government Inspectorate.

Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee Nguyen Dang Luc suggested that in the coming time, the Government Inspectorate continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the Central Government's leadership and direction documents on cipher work. Strengthen professional training, security management, effective use of cipher equipment, pay attention to password management, information security monitoring, create favorable conditions in terms of facilities and working conditions for the cipher force to successfully complete its tasks.

Regarding the leadership, direction and implementation of the Party's policies, the State's laws and those of the Cryptography Department, and information security, Mr. Luc requested the Government Inspectorate to continue to pay attention to directing, disseminating, propagating and implementing the Law on Cryptography, the Law on Information Security and Network Security, protecting state secrets and documents guiding their implementation.

Regarding information security, Mr. Luc requested the Government Inspectorate to propose the need to survey, inspect, evaluate, and specifically identify the list, information technology system, data on the current status of information security and safety of the Government Inspectorate's database information system and request competent agencies to develop appropriate solutions for implementation.

Preside over and coordinate with the Government's Cipher Committee to organize the development of plans, implementation plans, regulations, management, operation, exploitation and use of information systems with confidential and top secret data in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cipher, Law on Cyber Security, Law on Protection of State Secrets, etc.
