Zoo organizes fan meeting with cat 'president' Mika and animals

Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden organized the first fan meeting "Mika and Zoobiz idols", gathering a series of famous animals on social networks such as cat Mika, bear Noel or white tiger Cow Milk.

On the morning of December 7, the Zoo (HCMC) organized a fan meeting called "Mika and the idols of Zoobiz", attracting a large number of fans of animal "stars" who are famous on social networks.

Mika, the main character of the event, was originally a stray cat that used to roam the zoo grounds. He became an internet phenomenon when he lived with the bear couple Misa - Misi, the father and son bears La - Do and the bear Re. Mika is jokingly called "chairman" because of his popularity and special personality.

In addition to Mika, the event also gathered many "idols" who are all animals that became widely known after appearing on the Zoo and Botanical Garden fanpage, including: "princess" Noel the bear; white tiger Bo Sua; raccoon Cong Thi Tai No; capybara family Phu, Quy, Cat, Tuong; giraffe Thao Em, dwarf horse Vu Sua...

Cat Mika appeared at the fan meeting on the morning of December 7.

Visitors with a "hardcore fan" badge on the fanpage will get free admission to the event. They will go through the priority lane to check their badge, receive gifts including a rounded-corner ID photo and a "mangosteen" (cat paw) of Mika as a souvenir.

At the large stage area, attendees can check-in and participate in activities exclusively for the program, such as interacting, taking photos and petting the "idols"; animal-themed gifts; group games and quizzes about the "animals".

Other "idols" interacted with fans at the fan meeting on the morning of December 7.

One of the highlights of the program was the auction of "chairman" Mika's uniform. The final price was up to 10 million VND, far exceeding the organizers' prediction.

The entire amount was used to buy seeds for more than 100 stray cats, Mika's "friends" living in the Zoo.

The organizers said the program aims to create a fun space for the animal-loving community, while also helping stray cats have a better life. The fan meeting was also prepared with a fun script to bring a vibrant experience to the attendees.

"President" Mika's shirt was auctioned for 10 million VND, raising funds for food for stray cats at the Zoo.

The Zoo is over 160 years old and currently cares for about 1,300 animals of 125 species, including many rare species. The green campus with more than 2,500 ancient trees and nearly 900 preserved plant species, becomes an ideal relaxing space for residents and visitors every weekend.

The zoo achieved a cumulative revenue of nearly 122 billion VND in the first 9 months of the year. 1.5 million entrance tickets alone were sold, bringing in about 78 billion VND (excluding tax).

Mika the cat is a famous social media phenomenon at the Zoo. Mika the cat became famous at the Zoo last year, attracting attention from tourists and social media users.
