The economy is difficult, the number of unemployed workers is increasing
Participating in the discussion at the group about the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of 2023, delegate Nguyen Van Hung (Tuy Phuoc unit) expressed concern about the difficult situation of enterprises in the province, especially those operating in the field of purchasing, processing and exporting forest products, leading to workers losing their jobs.
According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2023 in the whole province, there were 148 enterprises and affiliated business units that had to be dissolved, 536 enterprises temporarily stopped operating. This shows that the "health" situation of enterprises is very unstable. Hung suggested provincial leaders have flexible and feasible solutions, accompanying enterprises to soon remove difficulties and obstacles, helping enterprises to recover and develop production soon.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh answered with delegates of the Provincial People's Council about the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee in the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of 2023. |
With the same concern, NE Le Thi Vinh Huong (Hoai Nhon unit) requested the functional sectors to survey to have statistics on the current situation of labor, employment, and income of workers. At the same time, there are solutions to classify, train, train, foster, and orient... to overcome this situation and prepare the labor force to meet the requirements of the market when the economy prospers again.
Concerned about the problem of workers losing their jobs, Representative Huynh Bao Nguyen (Tay Son unit) said that the report of the Provincial People's Committee stating that the province's unemployment rate in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 2,56% is not close to reality. According to DB Nguyen, job loss could be one of the reasons leading to the increase in crime. “We really want to clarify, there are specific statistics on the number of unemployed workers in which regions and localities. When there are sufficient statistics, the CA sector and other sectors have measures and solutions to manage and support, "said NE Nguyen.
The delegates seriously and enthusiastically discussed many issues at the group. |
It is necessary to diversify solutions for socio-economic recovery and development
Commenting on the work of attracting businesses to invest in industrial parks and economic zones, NE Nguyen Thanh Vu (Tay Son unit) said that in the first 6 months of this year, the province attracted 42 projects, but only 8 projects went into production in industrial parks and economic zones, so it is suggested that the Provincial People's Committee have orientations and encourage businesses to invest in industrial parks and economic zones that currently have a high occupancy rate.
Delegate Vu stated the reality of industrial production in the first 6 months of 2023, the added value of the whole industry reached 3,49%, only 1/3 of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Council; in which, the industrial production index of the whole province increased only 0,08% over the same period last year. According to forecasts, in the last 6 months of the year, industrial production will continue to face many difficulties, so the Provincial People's Committee needs to analyze more deeply about solutions to achieve industrial development targets.
Representative Le Thi Vinh Huong (Hoai Nhon unit) assessed that, from the beginning of the year until now, the Provincial People's Committee has had drastic directions and administration in socio-economic recovery and development in the direction of focus and breakthrough, especially the transformation of thinking from management to serving, considering businesses as partners and customers. In the context of economic and industrial production facing many difficulties, agriculture plays the role of a pedestal and brings stability to the economy, but in fact farmers still face many difficulties in terms of seeds, supplies, raw materials, especially output for products.
Representative Le Thi Vinh Huong (Hoai Nhon) said that from the beginning of the year until now, the Provincial People's Committee has continued to have drastic directions and administration in the direction of focus and breakthrough. |
"Farmers must be oriented and guided by state agencies, associations and traditional craft villages in the direction of specialized production with key products, especially they must be equipped with a chain production mindset and be regularly updated on the production and market situation of the local, domestic and international," Huong specifically suggested.
Exploiting the potential for sustainable tourism development
Representative Mai Viet Trung (An Nhon unit) contributed many ideas on tourism development of the province. According to NE Trung, in the first 6 months of the year, the number of tourists to the province was remarkable (nearly 2,7 million arrivals, an increase of 20,6% over the same period last year). However, it is necessary to frankly recognize and evaluate the shortcomings, in which the focus is on tourism development that must be associated with the conservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage values.
According to the Central Delta, along with the orientation and investment of the State, it is necessary to have appropriate forms and effectively mobilize resources for investment socialization to promote the value of monuments and landscapes for tourism. At the same time, more attention is paid to the creation of souvenir products that show the unique cultural identity of Binh Dinh, contributing to attracting more tourists.

Sharing the same opinion, Representative Pham Tan Thanh (Phu My unit) said that although the tourism sector is experiencing high growth, the province's tourism products are not as diverse and rich as the potential. Currently, we only focus on exploiting the types of community and spiritual tourism, but these types have not really been effective. "We need to look at this reality to have specific solutions in creating more attractive tourist products, attracting tourists to Binh Dinh," DT Thanh suggested.
From another angle, NE Huynh Thi Ngoc Ha (Quy Nhon unit) said that Binh Dinh has a lot of potential to develop entertainment and entertainment spots for tourists to visit and relax. However, in the province, there are very few places of entertainment and entertainment that are properly invested and built. Notably, Ghenh Rang - Tien Sa tourist area has a prime location right in the city center but has not been built for many years. Along with that, there are 270 OCOP products in the province, but the promotion and introduction to tourists has not been paid enough attention. "If we do a good job of promoting and improving the quality of OCOP products, this will be a pretty big source of income for local people," NE Ha posted the issue.
Need to pay attention to the issued policies Regarding the policy to encourage raising chickens on hills, NE Pham Tan Thanh (Phu My unit) said that the province should direct localities to join hands to implement this policy and should issue specific guidelines on the size of the barn. Because of the current reality, after 1 year of implementing the policy, it has only been implemented in 2 localities: Tay Son and Hoai An; In addition, issues of price, market, and demand are also affecting the consumption of free-range chickens. Representative Nguyen Thi Tuyet (Phu Cat unit) stated that the fact that the policy to attract high-quality human resources in the province has not been effective is partly due to the fact that Binh Dinh province has not yet issued a list on the field of attracting high-quality human resources in units outside the state sector; this issue is related to the staffing of each agency; The propaganda and dissemination of policies to attract high-quality human resources have not yet reached the target audience... Therefore, the early overcoming of the above-mentioned shortcomings will contribute to helping this policy come into play. |
