The draft report summarizing the results of cooperation between the two provinces in the period 2023-2025 clearly states that, in the past period, the Fatherland Front of the two provinces has effectively maintained the exchange of experiences in propaganda and mobilization of the people to build national unity; coordinated the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front; participated in building the Party and government, social supervision and criticism; implemented social welfare activities, disaster relief, and supported the people in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives.
In the spirit of solidarity and compassion, in 2024 and 2025, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province provided 700 million VND to support the people of Lao Cai province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, and also coordinated support for families affected by storms in both localities. The two provinces also regularly organize working groups and delegations of influential and exemplary individuals to exchange and learn from each other's experiences, contributing to improving the quality of mobilizing people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
During the conference, delegates from both provinces unanimously appreciated the results of the cooperation during the 2023-2025 period; at the same time, they frankly pointed out some limitations that need to be addressed in order to implement the cooperation contents in the next phase. Based on that, the delegates focused on contributing ideas and supplementing the draft cooperation program for the 2026-2030 period in a practical, effective manner, consistent with the actual situation of each locality.
Both sides will continue to strengthen coordination in propaganda and mobilization of the people; innovate the content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front at all levels; promote social supervision and criticism; effectively implement emulation movements and campaigns associated with the implementation of national target programs; focus on gathering and uniting ethnic groups and religions, promoting the role of influential people; strengthen people's diplomacy, digital transformation in the Fatherland Front system and improve the quality of Fatherland Front cadres in both provinces.
Regarding the content of the cooperation program for the period 2026-2030, both sides agreed to continue strengthening the exchange of experiences in propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people; building and consolidating the great national unity; participating in building and rectifying the Party and government; and improving the quality of social supervision and criticism. Along with that, they will coordinate the implementation of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; effectively implement national target programs on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; strengthen social security work, disaster relief, and mobilize the "For the Poor" Fund and the "Relief" Fund.
Both sides also agreed to promote the exchange of experiences in innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the work of gathering and uniting ethnic groups and religions; promoting the role of influential people, village elders, and clan leaders; expanding people-to-people diplomacy, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and mutually developing border; strengthening digital transformation in the Fatherland Front system at all levels and improving the quality of Fatherland Front officials in the two provinces.
